  • If there was ever was a time...

To step up your preps if they've been lacking.... Now would be the time.

If there was ever a time to pay attention to things happening..... Now would be the time.

If there was ever a time to take care of things you've been procrastinating on...... Now would be the time.

No doubt about it. No call for panic, but the time to get your ducks in a row seems to be upon us.

      Thanks, LD!

Sometimes I notice in the "prepper" universe a focus for long-term foods when storm clouds appear on the horizon... These are great, if you want the long term investment (bulk pail staples) and want to pay that premium for freeze-dried or dehydrated, but if I see storm clouds, CAN GOODS and basic staples are what I will stock up on FIRST...

Can goods can last a LONG, LONG time properly stored. Far longer than TEMPORARY storm clouds that may be the concern... Even long-term storms, those can goods will take you far down the road before you have to dig into the long-term storage stuff and start grinding wheat berries into flour...

So don't neglect your local supermarket... Look for sales. Our Harris Teeter has sales on chicken and tuna cans that beat Sam's Club, for example. Stock up on fresh baking needs like sugar, baking powder, yeast, shortening, etc... Get canned veggies and fruits... Even boxes of processed foods, like cereals, oatmeal, grits, etc... last a decently long time...

Just my 2 cents on this...

Oh, yeah.... Don't forget about durable goods if you think our dollar value may drop.

Plan on replacing old washer for new one on sale at Lowes... Appliance sales from 4th are still going on and are about as cheap as I have seen, less Black Friday.
