  • More on "community"

Where are all the savior of the subdivision fantasy types when this sort of thing comes up?

Are they still mentally master....... to One Second After type stories wherein everyone in a "community" gets along, works together, isn't a self-ish welfare entitlement jerk, etc.

CBS News offers breaking news coverage of today's top headlines. Stay informed on the biggest new stories with our balanced, trustworthy reporting.

Yes, Walmart, yes white trash, no duh right.... But these types are EVERYWHERE! And just like the old, nicely dressed, clean EBT dregs (search for that old post with pic), it's a MINDSET, not where they live or what they look like etc.

Maybe a reset would be good for 'murica?'

That is the sad part- your kids and mine will be working to pay for that little slug to sit on his arse and collect a disability check or something similar.

Well, the way the cost of SSDI is rising, maybe not. But, he'll be a thug I'm sure, unless his life changes.

That's how you know it's good, LMAO.

Meanwhile some old woman or man that HAS worked their whole life to fill the gubmint "free stuff" coffers is HOBBLING through Walmart while this ghetto queen oops I mean trailer park queen broad is cruising on the hub around (or whatever the hell it's called).

I'm in a really sad state for Amerika lately. Seeing crap like this, going to District of Criminals and seeing so damn many burkas (sp?) on every damn corner. I try not to get stuck in the "we are all F'ed as a country" mindset but damn if all the signs are everywhere.

Ld I think many are on that fence. Its down right frustrating.
Like digging a trench that we will all use and having one or two sitting in the shade....expecting to crowd in once the air raid alarm goes off.
You dont dig the trench ...your dead....so you have to dig it....and you dig and dig....
Only to have the alarm sound and as you go to dive in its full of guys who didn't dig....

              Catch 22 all the way.
Its funny to.me at times. Guys go on and on about jade helm...blue helmets ...etc. but the real war has been raging already..were getting cut..100 times...but their not deep...just enough to weaken us...strip us down ...
You wanna keep fighting but you can't stand ....
Hey Petunia...you dropped your man pad!

                And I hear that-

"If you can't stand, you can't do war!!" LOL

                New Mad Max reference.

We've told people for years, it isn't going to probably be ONE big event that all in ONE day you will see "oh man, the S is not hitting TF!"

If your not consistently making good decisions and good planning now, it's going to sneak up on you and find you with your pants down.

I'm here as well. I NEVER, repeat NEVER thought I would ever be thinking about leaving my country to live, but I have to admit I have been exploring the idea of expat communities. Don't know if it will come to that, but I have been looking and talking with many expats that I take care of.

It makes me sad that I even contemplate this idea.

My question would "to go where?"

There are very few places I know of that I would feel will be suitable long term and none would fit dollar wise.

as I have often opined, we have passed the point where there is no legislative fix for what is wrong in America. Neither party wants to improve the situation. There is still the old tried and true method of addressing wrongs that can't be fixed by any other means, but are we ready to 'go there' yet?

And you'll do what when there......

If its bad enough to run ...you don't think there will be issues that follow from our flop?
                          I know its about options.....
But me personally ...I can't run...
Had this talk over dinner 15 years ago with all of us family (mom...dad..brothers) ..mid way my mom.started crying..she knew where each of us stood and it was upsetting to her...my dad knew to....but he understood ....
Could I "survive "where I could run to. Yip....sure could...but I dunno if I could like it much knowing I jumped ship.
Nothing on you Psd just talking.

We had this same convo recently as a family after our trip to District of Criminals.

Keep in mind we are a family that has largely sheltered ourselves from "the world." We don't watch TV, we live near a small town in the south in the Bible belt and we homeschool. We don't "live in a cave" but we have purposely sought to keep certain things away from ourselves.

I knew going to that area would be "different" but seeing the things we saw in our nation's capital was disturbing. Also little things like Delta airlines with a huge "Delta celebrates diversity" gay ad in their little flight magazine, gay acting male steward(ess, I guess LOL). These just aren't things we see on a regular basis. Amerika might be used to it, but we are not.

Bahamas? Been there, it's a tourist hellhole. Offered pot for sale three times in a short walk to hotel, get just a stone's throw away from a hotel/casino and tourist area and it's not far from being little Johannesburg.

I've wargamed this numerous times and their is only a handful of countries I'd consider, none of which have decent gun laws. Some are already under similar socialist rule. So you move there, give up some of your weapons in the process and then have the same troubles there.

I liken it to the Jews that said "oh hey, we have to move out of Germany to Poland but things will be better there!" Then later "oh hey (maybe oh vey? LOL) we have to move to Warsaw to a special section they made just for us, but things will be better there!" Then later "oh hey, we have to move to a family work camp, but things will be better there!"

Substitute the names of places with other names, and substitute the word Jews with "intolerant Bible believing gun toting Christian", mix in some BS doctrine from modern church's mis interpretation of Romans Chapter 13 1-7 wherein they try to save that means "always obey the gubmint", add in a victim mentality, a dash of white guilt, mix in a big helping of the "I'll be raptured out before anything bad happens to me" mindset and a healthy dose of loving the things of the world and you have the perfect recipe for this.

                              Preach it, Brother Lowdown3...

My wife is a very American-ized Colombian... She has some family there. We would "know LOCAL people" there. This country is on my short list, but there are all sorts of NEGATIVES to pulling up stakes as well... Bottom line, I am a gringo. Big, white, green eyed gringo. Lots of poverty in Colombia, which is why drug growing is so big there, easy crop, BIG profits. Also heated border wars and guerillas are still alive and growing again. Whole lot of "Killing Fields" potential... And gun laws are VERY restrictive unless you have $$$, clout, or power.

Costa Rica too has problems. Local natives have big resentment against rich white people buying up all the prime oceanfront lands and then forcing large chunks of NATIVE land to become "refuges" and protected habitat. Poverty in many places... A white family may not do well when economy goes t1ts up...

                              Alaska? Way too cold!

Like Reagan said, "This is the last place for freedom left in the world."
