  • 2012 lds (unofficial) survival manual

    folks,
    I found this link elsewhere.
it is a reference to an unofficial lds (Mormon) survival manual.
the information looks like it would be helpful to folks.

I am not Mormon. I'm not proselytizing for that group.
there are some pages in the book that do.
if any mod feels there is a problem with this post and reference feel free to delete this or let me know and i'll delete it.
and hope that this does not develop into a discussion about that group.
(if someone wants to discuss lds I ask that we move that discussion to another thread)

they do teach survivalist thoughts. the book looks interesting. I've read several pages before posting it here.
there are notes that the book can be found online for free... I appreciate folks that
    offer their material for free!
oops... I lost the link in my clicker i'll edit to add same.

    edited to add...
the link that I started to post included the name of another survivalist type website.
I am not sure if that is permitted here,
so, to stay out of trouble with the boss! i'll just say google.
    2012 lds survival manual...
I found it for sale for 24.95
but also found several survival websites that have links to the free on line version.

hopefully someone will post an approved link that will make access easier.

    Go ahead and post it.

Their is really just 1 or 2 companies or people that are so unethical we won't allow links to them here, MOST every place else is o.k. The chances of the link being to one of them is remote.

If you all will read this, it is a good guide to food prep. Keep in mind however that this is mostly based on whole original foods you have to prepare from scratch!!. The LDS church is very good at sharing information if you ask. They even have a shortwave club. Not all members follow the LDS guidelines but someone in the local STAKE will help. The other place to get all the food product they talk about is the AMISH, they have stores where they are located and sell to the public. The LDS also at times have free canning of #10 cans, you bring your stuff to the cannery and pay a fee for the cans lids etc. You can contact and locate the church/stake from the phone book under Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. GOD HELPS THOSE THAT HELP THEMSELVES.
And it does not hurt to try to get those around you to follow along without letting your own cat out of the bag, so to speak.
