Pi$$e$ me off every time I do taxes, so thanks for stirring it up rr.....lol

Heard yesterday on the radio, so not sure of the truth to this.....we spent $3T to implement O-sCare which costs U.S. taxpayers $200B per year in additional taxes which will be ongoing unless it's repealed. Nice, huh?

        lol... bigdog, that's a compliment!
if I approved of all the giveaway programs and waste that the gov't was doing, it wouldn't bother me...
but I sure agree about being pi@@ed off!

        ok...
        i'll brag on florida....
I've always heard that florida has no state income tax...
they have other taxes that help offset...

I expect this is why Georgia made the move a couple of years ago to reduce the income taxes on older folks.. try to keep them in Georgia (and keep their spending and economy from running off to states, such as florida) instead of moving off.

Don't move to VA... Federal tax, State tax, property tax, personal property tax (vehicles in county), sales tax, other sales taxes...

No real protection for the elderly. Not sure if I plan on retiring here. Most likely not. Will retire in an RV somewhere cheap...

But at 49, I still have a ways to go till that happens...

              My state retirement 1%
              My army pension 0%
              VA 0%
I get free Hunting/fish lic. because of CRSC VA and also no tax on army because of CRSC I also pay no homestead tax Because of CRSC rating, over all that helps out the veterans in the state. But they do soak you in your working years.
BUT!!! gas tax, road tax, booze tax, tobacco tax, fast food tax, all added on when you buy.
The only thing they have not figured out is how to tax Tang.

Yeah tech...taxes on everything. Here in Florida I have a business where I am having to lease a warehouse. Because of the lease agreement, we have to pay State sales tax on the share of County real estate taxes we pay. I called the Feds, County and State and yep....BOHICA. They all claim it's not double taxation....LMAO. After I got finished talking, my wife said "well, that's another list we are on." Yeah, I let them know my feelings.

.gov is going to get their pound of flesh, regardless of the official tax stance. There is no escape.
