DHS POLICE ANYONE ELSE SEE THEM AROUND

Yesterday my wife and I went to eat out. In the eatery was a policeman decked out in everything short of a dress jacket. Police don't bother me heck I was one , but times are changing . Now keep in mind I live in the middle of nowhere. The Co . POP. about 25,000 for 585 square miles. I spoke with the nice policeman because I did not know who he was. Behold !! patch, gold badge, collar brass gold hardware, My thought Chief, BUT NO, DHS police. I asked what in the world are you here for. He explained that they patrol all the areas and also monitor private contractors across the nation.
Heck you can't even get or rarely see a deputy around and the state only has about 6 in a two county area. I thanked him and my wife and I finished up, paid and left. Outside sure as shooting was a white Tahoe decked out with about 3 grand of red and blue lights and a foot tall POLICE down the whole side, a little 10 " circle that said (Deutschland ER:) I mean Home Land Security. Anyone else notice this and what purpose do they serve. Of course I never saw a Border Patrol until a year ago. Gotta Keep the Illegal Canadians out you know .

I see a couple of these guys around town often. The 2 pairs (4 "officers") I normally see, they look like they are ready to go "Roid Rage" on all the "Subjects" sitting around them (I see at lunch every couple of weeks). They drive one marked and one unmarked Tahoe/Suburban. Both are set rather low, have guards on the front bumper, blacked out windows.

They make me a little uneasy truthfully.

The local deputies I like (have a few friends in there), the local PD are OK, but these guys give me a funny feeling (not in a good way either).

Regularly here in central FL, Crusiers, SUVs and several command busses (may have been the same one a couple times, but two in a convoy... once), also a armored vehicle of some sort I have never seen before.

Oddest thing I've seen lately where LEO's are concerned are those new things attached all over their cruisers. I took a pic and texted it to a like minded friend in LE locally and he said they were that new "Stingray" deal.

Captures the tag number and runs it, right? Seen several SO cruisers with them here.

You know, it's all about data collection. Cell phones, google, internet, tag capture, transponders for toll roads, debit cards, credit cards, RFID.....Free State...yeah, not like it used to be.

This is from police beat news. All the cameras on all digital download, street corners, stores etc. Are tied into a national data base and can be viewed real time or recovered from past data , what gun show have you been at lately. I only went to Costco really!!!.
