lots of rain... the moat is overflowing!

let's just say....
this fella I know has a creek near his home...
(I live in a high rise condo. y'all already know that)

fella jokes about it being a moat! it's over 4' deep and over 5' wide at the bottom.
water depth has only been 3-4" for the last month or so.

he woke up this morning to find the water overflowing... he could run a fishing boat down the creek.
water is over the drive about knee deep. there had been plans to go visit relatives today... (in the low sitting jap car)
not now!
this has happened before, and fella makes early preps "just in case"
not this time... talk about a lack of being aware of situation...
I hope that sleigh can really fly!

Fella should have a hydroelectric set up for times like this. From what I've read, it's amazing what little flow over 24 hours will produce. With a big flow, like this fella has, it may produce quite a bit.

Biggest thing is making sure what you build can't be used against you.

Like the oft touted "plant berry bushes on the fence and no one will be able to get in" BS. Berry bushes are going to truly keep a determined person out? Right. All they are going to do is provide cover and perhaps a snack while a scout is sitting there pulling recon on your place.....
