  • I encourage you...

I encourage you this season to give back with love out of the blessings you received this year.

One place we always try to help during the holidays is Gospel for Asia

    Transforming Communities through Christ's Love

If you want to have some fun with your kids and teach them about giving, pick out some farm animals, water filters, part or all of a well, etc.

One thing I appreciate about this is most of the items they make available are very enterprising. A sewing machine helps bring in extra bucks, rickshaws, carts to sell produce off of in the marketplace, etc. The phrase "hand up versus hand out" comes to mind with these also.

While we are survivalists and should be storing up some "treasure" down here (to get us through hard times, for retirement, etc) , we need to remember where our true treasures need to be stored up at!

no problem with helping others here. I do it all year long, not just at Christmas. :)

Several years ago the wife and I decided that, instead of giving each other gifts, we'd take that money and put more towards charities in His name. We still give throughout the year, but this is more of His birthday present.

LD3, we hadn't heard of this one...we've bookmarked it for next year (or when we make our next donations).
