  • Lessons I learned from Ferguson last night

I took a few things away from watching the news reports coming out of ferguson last night/early this morning.

    1. WORL will happen fast... really fast in the "bad sections of town." Faster then I thought.

    2. Dont get caught alone in a crowd looting, like the two fox reporters who were assaulted and camera destroyed "Live" they were the only two white dudes there at the meat market/liquor store. lucky to not of been hurt or killed. Be the grey man or not in the situation at all.

    3. Board up ahead of time, may not matter but helped some.

    4. People loot the stupidest things... wigs and hair extentions.

    5. The police are a clean up crew in a mob mentality like that. They will be little help at best.

I thought to myself what it would look like if it had been a WORL situation Like an EMP, Financial collaps, or other prolonged WORL situation, the whole of Ferguson would be destroyed.

Just a few thoughts I had. what about y'all?

the browns and all their kin talked about calm and peace... but they were lying.

    pure t. lying pos..

if they wanted calm and peace they would have been reporting the names and pictures of all the thieves and arsonists and
    other criminals...
but they sure weren't lined up to be good citizens today...
and they KNOW who the evil ones were/are...
it's them. that's why they aint reporting!

My takeaway from the looting in Ferguson is to take a page out of the book of the Korean shop owners who owned businesses in LA during the Rodney King riots. They got their weapons, got on the roofs of their buildings, and shot at any looters who approached their businesses after being warning them to stay away. Darn few, if any, Korean businesses were destroyed during those riots.
"One cannot but ponder the question: what if the Arabs had been Christians? To me it seems certain that the fatalistic teachings of Mohammed and the utter degradation of women is the outstanding cause for the arrested development of the Arab. He is exactly what he was around the year 700, while we have kept on developing. Here, I think, is a text for some eloquent sermon on the virtues of Christianity." - General George S. Patton, diary, June 9, 1943.

Can you say "Mk19 and a few pallets of ammo" ?

That should calm things down quite a bit, I don't care who you are ;)

But seriously, all of the business owners need to take a stand - either together in protecting their investments - or together in leaving that cesspool.

An equipped, malicious intent anarchist would see them as sitting ducks on that roofline...

Got Lucifer's Hammer on MP3 recently as I'm doing a fair amount of driving lately and need to kinda get my head away during this time. I had only read it once years ago.

Was thinking about #4 in this regard. Black crew pulling burglaries in Beverly Hills or what not as "the hammer" was falling. They were stealing stupid crap- TV's, etc. Biker gang that killed Harvey's wife, had looted Harvey's meager prep stash. Later the black thugs ambush the biker thugs and lament the loss of all those items.

MOST people will assume that things will "get back to normal" soon and their looting or "last minute purchasing" will often reflect that.

I've often told people that waited too long to prep, blew their time making "lists" instead of DOING things, etc. to hit the FEED STORE at the last minute versus the grocery store.

The feed store will/should have a boatload of grains, antibiotics, barbed wire, etc. that you will need. Some of the better ones will have homesteading tools (grinders, animal traps, water tanks, etc.) as well.

Down here- "feed store" = rednecks. Rednecks = guns. So places like that should be a good ways down on the "let's loot" list.

A lot of times certain types of looters will avoid areas wherein "crazy white folk" are known to be.

I have a friend that hunts and farms and does some preparing...

he lives off the beaten path but not "too far" out in the boondocks.

he told me once that he likes to strap on a side arm and grab his commie rifle and stroll out of the woods...
just enough to be seen by a few neighbors, then disappears back into the woods...
knowing, that the talk in the area will spread... that there's a __________ (fill in whatever descriptive term you'd like!)
living out on route xx "man, the best thing to do is not... not hunt out in that area, not trespass out in that area...
                just not... no reason... "

At 1st...I used to get upset at my issued survival dog when ever she'd tear off the porch and bark...growl and chase folks who walked past our yard (its fenced) ...she growls at anything that comes with in 25 of our fence ..
I was always worried someone would go """oh...nice doggy " and id have issues. Someone (a person we invited over) parked across the way and walk up...she went out...wife unit was at the gate..and homey reached...or lets started to over the gate to go "nice doggie "...survival dog went full blown kujo at him thru the fence etc...till I came and go her..

Rock ..like the buddy who wants to be seen....its a visual deterrent ...
Like most things layers...in your defense not only see. But unseen (where's that dog at) ..reason I've always left a dog leash or toy near the front door .
Hey Petunia...you dropped your man pad!
