I went to vote this morning. It seemed like a very light turnout. I would encourage EVERYONE to exercise their Constitutional right to vote in EVERY election, whatever your political alignments are. IMHO, if you don't vote, you lose the right to complain (at least to me). I've voted in very election since I turned 18...please do the same.

thanks. a good reminder.
lots of conservative folks must have voted their convictions, based on the results!
time for a good ole fashioned "yahoo!"
but watch out... Obama ain't through..
and he has set a lot of negative stuff in motion... which is still working against us.

The good thing about it is, without Harry Ried to block the House bills, it'll be extremely obvious who's the 'party of no' and what the progressive liberal agenda really is.Originally posted by rockriver View Postbut watch out... Obama ain't through..

Time will certainly tell what happens with the GOP in charge. They gave the Dems a lot of grief about not passing budgets and stuff when they were in control so we'll see if they are any better. We'll see if they repeal OC or if they just replace it with "their" version. Personally I don't trust any of them.
I was surprised that in my blue state we were able to elect a GOP. I won't hold my breath on any of them."It's a trap!!!!" -- Admiral Ackbar

Even better! Those that don't get involved don't get much mileage complaining to me. The founding fathers designed the system specifically for a moral, involved citizenry.Originally posted by Mannlicher View Postdo more than vote. Don't remember when it started, but we are required to show a picture I.D. here in Georgia. I usually use my D.L.....don't like to 'advertise' the GWL (here in Georgia, it's called a weapons license as you need one to carry open or concealed....or carry a knife with a blade 5" or over...I'm sure there're other things.)."Common sense might be common but it is by no means wide spread."
