I just tried and got a blank page... nothing...

rawles used to post his numerical address which supposedly would work in emergencies.
I didn't write it down.

I tried the IP address and older links I could find the last time his blog was outta sorts. Couldn't get in.
Still no idea why those chose the qoute they did (person wise) unless he made someone mad LOL

Used this 64.92.111.122 and was able to get in, but it had Monday 9/29 but nothing from today 9/30

Survivalblog lost it's quality flavor IMHO

I've talked with Jim since he wrote Grey Nineties back in 94.

I was a big supporter of his site when he started up.

Seems like after he handed it over to this Hugh guy the whole site went BLAHHHHHH!

Tried to email Jim like always but it seems like I get answered by "Hugh".

I quit going to the site.

So much of what was there was mundane stuff, stuff that had been previously covered only better and the top list is comprised of prizes for the next contest.

The whole site lost it's flavor and it's quality. In other words, it went mediocre.

Just my opinion but I understand that nothing good lasts for ever.

Prc what's old is new. But with a twist.
Everyone goes full circle I think...and then starts fresh...or moves along.lotta prep sites out there....info overload ......places that were "the place to go " 6-8- even 10 years ago have eased up..or went flat. I used to scour the web reading....then once you see the 1500 th what pack or how to survive an emp you lose untreated.
But if you go back....you can find nuggets you missed...and more than one source is good Intel wise....
