The only reason I would want one would be so I can learn from it. Experiment with it. Is it possible to re-write it? Can I disable it while it is still implanted? Can I temporarily block the signal? What is the strength of the transmitted signal?
I think it is scary that this device has gained such widespread acceptance that it is now being offered to the general public in a retail environment.

          Exactly.

Course their was a lot of jews that said "yeah let's leave Berlin and get on their train, I hear the "family camp" is going to be a fun place and we can have fun with a lot of other jews there..."

Never underestimate people's power to delude themselves.

It'll go like vaccinations .....lil Tommy needs one or he can't go to school.....can't get a drivers license etc. You want to get Medicare at 65.... gotta have it.....
Join the military ....you got one...
They find ways to force it on us.....

Till then......I think a Mylar body suit would prevent it from working...
Hey Petunia...you dropped your man pad!

Wow, really! Sheeple will do this for sure cause like Protus says it's cool and the "latest fad". I can see some being pulled out with a MRI or sets off the TSA alarm at the airport when the person forgets that they have it.

Question...why would anyone want one of these? It only has 888 bytes of storage that can be rewritable. Not very much to store your data to act as a small external hard drive. Is it's main job to track?

But we put one in fido so if he gets lost they can ID him and get him home to us. Don't we owe our children the same level of love? What if they get abducted?

That will be the primary reason people get one... for their KIDS! Especially if you can access live tracking info. I can not imagine the feelings, thoughts, and rage I would feel if my daughter was kidnapped... Hoping she was killed quickly rather than turned into some kind of sex slave. I seriously cannot imagine how I would handle it...

But that said, I would not get an imbedded chip for her, rather some kind of watch or jewelry that has a satellite tracker in it.

                        SheepDog:
YES any RFID's main job is tracking on anything I can think of. It normally just "responds" to a signal.

This video is long and a little geeky (it gets off to a slow start) but the guy for being a major geek is funny but alot of stuff to get you thinking.

If you can use it for good... Someone can use it for evil. So if you can track your daughter so can someone else.

We should learn from the Snowden (really we should have listened to Founders) that all tech is there likely being used against us. You can NOT trust your cell phone, why would want to put a chip in your arm (or where ever)?

But I agree we (liberty minded individuals) should be testing one.
                        Can it blocked?
How hard is it to "hack" into to change the info?
Can you block one and have "fake" or/alternate to send "false" info?

It is just Radio Wave or RF, so with SDR (Software Defined Radio) we should be able to "duplicate" info even if we can not read it or break the encryption we should be able a spoof the signal from one that was read before.

My wife and I had this discussion a few weeks ago

Would you ever have a chip emplanted in you?

My argument was and still is, there is no need to have one emplanted. You will leave the house and go back if you forget your smartphone would you not? Your phone can do all the things a chip will do and even more if you are involved in the "social media" craze.

No you're not being forced to take the chip but google and the NSA don't have to force you you're doing it for them.

I know my opinion is going to ruffle some feathers but think about it. Your phone is pinging to a tower 24/7/365.
