  • So tell me about the picture in the thermal rail mounted scopes.

This is probably for 1Admin but here goes.

I just sold my FLIR handheld camera and am looking for the next one.

Looking at the FLIR Thermosight RS32 2.5-9X

So I;m guessing it's an electronic zoom. the 2X on my old one was ok but I preferred to use the NOD scope.
Picture was just more useable, etc.etc.

So how good does the FLIR Thermosight RS32 2.5-9X picture work for useability before I plunk out $4k+

I know the new NODS at 10th group have the integrated thermal overlay and host stuff shows up with a red outline over the green screen.

Do these work anything like that? I'm guessing that at the best, It has a hot object alert where the hot figure pops out as red.

    Fill this newby in, huh?

    Thanks in advance,
    John

We talked on the phone but for all those curious, the T320 Thermal weapons sight thread in the armory will give you the idea of the picture through a thermal sight.
