On my mobile.so sorry for issues
Anyone else read the stories of the rancher out west who's ranch is surrounded by blm. Agents...snipers etc. And they are rounding up his """trespassing "" cattle with no info on what they are doing with them.
Also the FBI raids a Guy with ""artifacts ""..aka Indian Jones style......then the Guy grabbing antics up east. Ill try and post links to the 1st two as the rancher one was a wtf deal for sure.

Fox ran a segment called "Enemies of the State" and featured the rancher on that one. The fight actually started with his fater some 25 years ago or so when they bought the ranch and the grazing rights to some BLM land. The BLM claimed that they were 'over grazing' and endangering some plant life. They then said the cattle were wandering onto non-grazing BLM land and it would have taken like 30 miles of fence to cordon lthem off. The BLM then confiscated several head that were 'trespassing' on the non-grazing land. There were several other actions but the rancher, instead of hiring lawers, went to law school and represented himself. He won a 4.5 million dollar suit but it's being appealed and he's seen not a red cent.

I'm sure I left a lot out, but that's the jist of the story I saw.

Yeah there's tons of """info "" on his back story floating around. There's YouTube video of blm Leo's tasing. Protesters being knocked down etc.
Now the oath keepers are tossing their hat into the ring.
Even if the Guy is in the wrong...(cattle trespass) ..where /what is the blm doing with them..and why do they need back hoes..(in the video on YouTube) ...
Seems to me like someone wants this to boil over...eta.:now there's talk of oil /fracking. Rights on his land?? ...things that make you go hmmmm.....

To me it seams that he is being kicked off the land for failing to pay the fees associated with the use of the land "Bundy claims he owes roughly $300,000 in back fees, but the federal government says it’s more than that.“That number, the $300,00, that was a number estimated through Sept. 11, 2011,” Bureau of Land Management spokeswoman Kirsten Cannon said in a phone call with reporters Monday. “Since then, the estimated amount owed by him – so including the $300,000 – totals $1.1 million.” There is more to the story then the big bad federal government wants to keep me out. I am no fan of the government but if you want to use public land then the fees involved should be paid. "The fight began when Bundy stopped paying the Bureau of Land Management’s grazing fees in 1993, arguing in court filings that he had no obligation to pay the agency because his Mormon ancestors had worked the land decades before the agency was formed."

So....the fed appeals the ruling that they owe Bundy 4.5 million....and now are trying to break even.
He won his legal battle....blm appeals ....but starts enforcement when they can't.

I've just watched some videos on the subject..
              sheeeett

              a couple of questions/thoughts..
these guys with the attack shepards... it appeared that they could cause the shepard to "rare up" at the crowd.
              --
I think the protestors needed to have brought their own attack shepards and Dobermans...
              --
the cops had tasers and shot people..
I wonder what would happen if the crowd had had tasers and had the crowds tasers pointed at the cops.
and for sure when a cop tased someone that about 3 crowd members would tase the cop that did the tasing.
              --
I'm surprised that there wasn't some shooting with 9mm or 45 as hot as tempers were getting..
the cops did NOT need to have those dogs out there.
              --
              just imagine.
billy bob decides he's willing to let the dog bite him on the leg.
then timmy decides to protect billy bob and draws his sidearm to shoot the dog.
I'm not going to speculate what the cop would do if timmy shot his dog, but I've sure got my own suspicion...

that's all it would take for their to be dead cops and dead protestors.
              then
              sheeeet.

A couple of thughts on this:

                1) With tensions running high on both sides...unless something happens pretty soon to relese those tensions there is bound to be something happen. Which side loses control first is anyones' guess.

                2) The folks coming in from out of state to support the rancher, right or wrong, open the situation up for criticizms just like the imported protesters in the Zimmerman case. I'm all for supporting causes you believe in, but it does open the situation up for the left to bring this up.

                3) From the strictly legal point of view, the rancher does owe the fines. He's fought it in court and lost. The individual law enforcement officers are doing their sworn duty. It's just a shame that Washington won't enforce the immigration laws a vigorously as these folks are. The real villians are in Washington, not there on the street. That said, what is the rancher to do? I have no answer to that question.

                  I'm hearing two stories.
                  1. he won a case in court for 4.5 million. BUT gov't is appealing.
                  2. he lost a case in court for ?? million.

anybody got the lawsuit question correct?

There are two different situations. The one I was talking about (4.5 million won, gov't appealing) is a different one from the Bundy's. I hadn't heard the name nor seen the man involved. After getting more information and seing Bundy on air, I realized that this was a different person than the one that was featured in the story I saw a few days ago on Fox. Sorry for the confusion...hope this clears it up.

I think the question we should be asking ourselves is not does he owe the money. I think the real question is WHY we support the Federal Gov taking land use fees from PUBLIC lands in Nevada. That land does not belong to the Federal gov. It belongs to the people of Nevada and to insist that he owes the fed money for using state public property is akin to demanding a third party pay YOU rent for living in your friends mothers house.

He tried to pay the state...not the feds when the fed didn't pull its end of the lease agreement. That's when he stopped paying the fed. The state then refused payment because they did not own the land.
Blm also had the fed buy out the other ranchers around the area. Bundy was the hold out.
The land grab is /was about water rights..and mineral rights from what I'm seeing. Not environmental.

While the text is on there people where on edge.
Blm /fed gave up more or less ...returned from what I see 30 of his cattle ...but the calves will /are dying.
They tried to go but protesters blocked both sides of the road (i15) .

                        Interesting event....for sure.

the cops who did the tazing need to be held accountable.
and if the dog handlers dogs nipped someone or caused a protester to fall, the handler needs to be held accountable.

the injured needs to go to the hospital and get checked and then to his heart doctor and family dr to get treatment, then back to a
hosp for some scans. then you write the blm and ask for your bills to be paid plus travel expense plus time off from work plus mental stress and unable to sleep.
the blm may not respond. so you send the package again certified mail and make your demand.
if no results you find a sympathetic atty, let him have a third of whatever you end up getting and you sue the bastarge and his boss and his dept.
every injured person involved needs to follow this procedure... sue the individual who did the tazing. to get out of possibly losing his house he will turn on his boss and gov't dept... you let him off if hell support your claim against the boss and gov't.

this is a legal, cleaner way to pursue "justice" than to make it "personal"

The reason the fed ended up with the land was due to the desert tortoise it is on the endangered species list and it's habitat is federally protected. Because he has not payed the fees from 1993 to current and he allowed his cattle into the areas protected for the tortoise, there is his problem. I am all for him using the land but in order for this to happen he will need to change the endangered species act and have the land returned to state control. As I said before he will not pay the fed because he said that his ancestors were using the land before the BLM ever came into existence. That is like me allowing my sheep onto your property because I lived in the area you now have your house.
