Thanks very much for this pithy description of the events that lead up to WWI. I believe your version is very accurate and the correlation between that time and now is very real. I HOPE that the newest variant never plays out, but it is always prudent to prepare.

As to being civil the games played by governments are devious. But what about the break down of social order like Serbs and Croats , the haves and have nots. When you bring it down to a personal level in your area how will we deal with the threat level. The deteriation may be slow or fast BUT being perpared is not stupid. I'm worried that our debt will bring the collapse of the dollar then it becomes the hungery verses the fed, an hungery people do stupid things like make guitillotines to lob off the well fed heads in France.
