  • "What if?" THE GAME! Conflicted card game

Oh boy, see these coming to the next campout! And I know just the guy to head up the discussion! :)

Seriously though, we were set up next to SouthernPrepper1 this weekend at the Life Changes, be ready Preparedness expo in Lakeland and he was selling these cards.

Basically a deck of 50'ish cards with random questions on each card, all involving some survival related scenario and usually requiring a "decision."

Some of the questions are pretty straightforward and ones that have been debated and banty'ed about on survival forums for years, some of the questions are more elaborate. Some of the questions leave only one or two answers but I guess it's up to the user how that works. We found some questions that were clearly designed for either 1 or 2 possible answers but were easy to get out of the box and give a third or fourth option.

It can be played as a game, just used for conversation starters, etc.

    A sample question:

"You see a large mob breaking into your neighbor's house, you know he is there with his wife and children. You have about two dozen rounds of ammo, roughly one for each mob member. You are the only person capable of defending your family. The mob passed your house and didn't notice you all at all. Would you step out of the shadows and risk your own life to help your neighbor or would you stay safe and protect your own family? Why?

At just $10. for a set, these have many uses besides fun. See how your family will answer some of these questions! I was pleased that for the most part, questions that were answered by my family members were very similar or the same exact answer I would give.

I'll have to add these to my christmas list.

I would help my neighbor. As a gun owner, citizen, and lover of people it is my duty to help protect others when I can. Just because the looters ignored me this time doesn't mean they will next time, so I might as well take advantage of the fact they are focused on something else. I see this as protecting both my family and the neighbors all at once. I couldn't live with the thought of allowing the wife and kids getting hurt or taken advantage of.

Now you could change the situation and mention what if the neighbor stole from you when everything started...I would have to give more consideration. I see some real use for these cards.
