how do "run flat' tires get you past

the PILES of cars with flat tires, hmmm? :-) If shtf,it won't take folks 5 minutes for millions of the unprepped to figure out how to stop cars and get the stuff they need. 4 wheeled vehicle, driving to a BOL (at night, without lights) more than a few miles, from the edge of town, is just asking to get yourself and loved ones shot up.

The majority of conversation here as well as podcasts, from the experienced and thinkers and planners, wisely leans more toward being there by the time this happens. Unless it is an event that just catches you hands down elsewhere in life. If you wait until the mogadishu mile you have messed up big time and left the principles of OODA. When I or my family travel there is always a plan B. I have extended plan B to many as they come thru as well provided we are compatible and they are real. I can always use someone with real skill, proper mindset and solid character. Doesn't mean they get a free key to the castle and run of the fair maidens but the times will dictate trust and worthiness.

Runflats, 4x4, airless tires and other methods are a plan B not a plan A for most unless it is to get home from work, church or daily activities. After all it could happen at 10am on Sunday morning on mothers day and everyone knows how hard it is to drive to a place to eat afterwards much less a real emergency. I think I would be safer in a 4x4 with good tires and 3 gunners than a bicycle waiting on dark that also relies on tires. BTW my bike tires have runflats too though heavier are more reliable PAW
