    and that's if you are fit/agile, strong and REALLY work at it. Classes with more than 4 people in them are just teaching you bad habits. If you are overweight or otherwise handicapped, figure on taking classes for twice as long. 5-10k is a lot more money than all but a few "think" that having real ability is worth. But worthwhile gun instruction takes at least 100 hours, to cover the bases worth a hoot. In both guns and hand to hand, I am talking about a MOST capable and motivated instructor, too. cops get 50 hours of gun stuff, and they screw up on a constant basis.

        +1 Matt.

        Regularly watching a not so big but fairly technical 13 year old regularly beat adults, I'm not too convinced on the it takes a lifetime theory.
