Yep it's been touched on a time or 2 here
There are a ton of things to discuss in the wildfire section ranging from terrorist to the neighbor who doesn't know what he's doing post shtf and burning all your stuff down to the current .gov shutdown in which many are not working to include firefighters, rangers and forest crews that clear debris in large tracts of land throughout the the U.S. and as well as us keeping underbrush and grass beat back after there is no fuel and electricity in a PAW environment. The following mudslides, rockslides and bogs created by heavy rains and snow are a pain to deal with too. In some places fires won't be an issue cause it will look like Haiti cause everyone will have burned everything around them to stay warm and cook.
Tell us more about what happened, what was lost, what can be done in the future, how it might have changed your perspective etc so that we may learn from your experience please.Knowledge is Power, Practiced Knowledge is Strength, Tested Knowledge is Confidence

You in an earthquake zone ?Originally posted by kev80 View PostAs for what I have learned, I'm going to set up some under ground storages. Luckily there are a lot old mines and caves, that can be easily modified and updated.Knowledge is Power, Practiced Knowledge is Strength, Tested Knowledge is Confidence

I saw some things out west once that really bothered me and that was the brush and tumbleweeds and stuff that everyone just allowed to collect between places. In the forest it seemed very little was done to clear an area and push back the treeline. I know thats part of the draw of living there but it's a fine line between beauty and dangerOriginally posted by kev80 View PostAs for what I said , the sierra Nevada hills are not earthquake prone . I wrote that before I had my coffee.Knowledge is Power, Practiced Knowledge is Strength, Tested Knowledge is Confidence
