i used a 14inch or 16 i cant recall saucer for the lid. its terra cotta as well.
temps of the drinks were 85-90f when i put them in..the sidewalls and outter walls of the pots were 79f...it was 90f on my porch..in the shade.
ill update temps etc as they come.
i seen the vids on youtube and figured it would be a cool lil project for me and the kid. plus be a good way to try a simple idea.
total cost was 40 ish (12- 14 per pot and the same for the lid sand 3,50 ))

well..no wind and muggy as all get out so far. prolly wasnt a good idea to put waters that had been sitting in the bed of my truck in there lol.
the water bottles temps came down to 81-82f...lid was 76 and inner wall was 77.

yeah i seen them and just figured screw it. i got 20 lowes gift card from 4 months ago why not lol.
plus if it works it'll get the grey matter working for other ideas. wifes wheels were turning already. but again time/weather will tell.humidty here will be the killer for sure.

        humid,,no wind outside,had a slight drizzle.
bottles now at 70-71.5 ambient outside temp 73..93% humidty wind speed- zero.
. outter pot temp 71.5f. inner pot temp the same.
forecast calling for humidty to go down to 50-60 with a -8-10 mph wind over mid day 10-5pm. porch is north facing so the breeze ""should" blow right thru if it holds direction.
so we'll see how it does.....

Ive made & used those type of coolers - set them in a shady but breezy spot for best results. Mine dropped the temps inside 20 degrees. You won't get icy cold drinks from them, but they will keep the butter from melting...

Ive got it sitting on my front porch in the shade.
