What does this have to do with S&P?
So we all look for places to go for safe living and we try and do our research but do we really know what to look for? Our day to day SURVIVAL depends on this. We also are always in search of the perfect

Great post Matt! It gives me lots to think about as I go out and look at property next week with our realtor. I love the idea of living in a rural environment, but I definitely do not want "bad" neighbors. Particularly since most of the time I will be home alone during the day time. Currently we are in a neighborhood so there are generally other neighbors around.

To piggy back on SCinPNW, check out the neighbors place before you buy. Do they have umpteen jacked up on blocks cars along with all the garbage from the last year? Lots of cars coming and going at all hours?
You can stop by the local Sheriff's office and see how many times they have been called to the property?
Survival question. What do I need most, right now?

when i had my 65' stang and 91 gt back in the 90's i used to go to the street races...never knew where it'd be till that night. but all the folks from a 40+mile radius would show up at a certain corner fast food joint then go race.normally 2-4 drags then folks would filter away or go cruise a1a.no days it seems that 1/4 wont do and it turns into fast and furious bravo sierra .

as for tags.....it was an easy way for us at work to figure out which group of fine urban yutes were trying to deal in my AO...just helped us find them easier,,,but cleaning it up sucked.

but if i cruise the farms over here im seeing ms13/latin king style tags along with local tags..but you can tell its teens/kids ...even though were rural here the farns are full of migrant workers....
Hey Petunia...you dropped your man pad!

Yes, I was thinking of checking with the Sheriff's office in any of the areas we are interested in. I know that our county sheriff's office has an interactive map that shows what crimes have happened around a particular address that you have typed in, so that is a good place to start.
