  • Labor day weekend plans?

Seems like the board is more quiet than normal. Noticed that on a couple other forums today also. Guess their is a lot of folks traveling for the holiday.

What's your plans for the weekend?

As for me, I'm gonna fight a little bit tomorrow, then probably do a little shooting. May try to post another video via youtube's new thing where only folks that have the link from a website can view the movie. Was thinking I'd try that and if it worked out, we could use that for the site here. The rest of the weekend will be homesteading work and family time.

    How about you?

Stay safe on the roads folks. It doesn't have to be dark for drunks to be out driving....

Saturday is a day for playing in the mud and just wasting the day having some fun. Sunday we're going shooting. I'm finally going to break in the new AR 10 and try some new methods I read about to overcome my right hand shooting, dominant left eye challenge. I read that leaning my pistol gansta style will bring the sights in front of my left eye and clear things up some. We'll see if it helps any.

    Stay safe all.

@LizardKing - My Dad is right hand left eye dominant, Drill Sergeants gave him a hard time in basic. I'll ask him how he deals with it.

Sitting at work.....as usual  ........pondering the dichotomy of being thankful for something that is sending me to an early grave, makes me want to bang my head on the wall, and causes me to have to ask God for forgiveness on a daily....sometimes hourly.....basis. :(

Relax, drive through the mountains in my wifes convertible, supercharged Mini-Cooper, film some horses for a friend... We'll see after that...

A nice rest from ripping off old, worn-out wood trim from some exterior windows, replacing them with PVC trim boards, then scraping the old sills down to bare wood and re-painting... But darn it looks good! Maybe I'll just sit in the yard admiring my handiwork...

Went to the range yesterday with the son. Took him to airport this AM so he could fly to TN and vist his best friend. Going to do some odds and ends around the home, and prolly at the business as well. Try and "organize some gear" sometime this weekend as well if time permits. Main thing is to stay away from ER (we have spent too much time there lately).

Guns and gear are cool, but bandages stop the bleeding!

Me and my son started the IPSC a few months ago just to add to our shooting. We video each shoot for fun and anaylisis and the next thing I know my teen daughter wants in. Anything I can do with my kids is good times! Thats one thing I see in this community is strong family ties.
