HAM's during Katrina helped non-HAM's make contact other non-HAM's. So if you dont know a HAM, maybe you should find one and make friends...
Apparently HAM Radio can send e-mails... So make sure you know your loved ones email contact info... Also if you take the time you can find out how you can update your FACEBOOK by email... So maybe you could update your Facebook Status by a simple email with a HAM operator and proper equipment??? If you figure this out... Make sure you tell your loved ones know to check your facebook status during an event.
