This is a good example of being ready to bugout. Vehicles as well as homes were damaged. Bugging out may be your last option but you still need to be ready IMO. Also a good reason to have secondary and tertiary storage of food, water and other supplies. Check your area and know if there are locations like this around you and/or upwind. Gas and oil pipelines are in the same category. There were also reports of some looting going on. Stay safe and prepare.

My thoughts go out to all those affected. I wish them a speedy recovery. I hope all of the missing are found to ease the pain their loved ones are feeling.
There is a farm chemical company on the west side of town about 3 miles away, unfortunately they are upwind from us. We do have a plan but it is very dependent on what time of day & year anything may happen.
