  • Sequestergeddon?

    Hype? Real? WTH over?

Is this going to affect YOU?

Seems to me if a gubmint saw that "austerity" programs and cuts in Europe created RIOTS and such who haw, that maybe if something similar was RE-PACKAGED and "sold" here in the states as something slightly different, maybe even something no one could "control" when it happened, that it might go over without the civil disobedience.

My thoughts? I don't expect Lord Humungous, the Ayatollah of Rocknrolla to show up at the gate tomorrow morning, or the next, or even next month.

However if ANY dude shows up in chaps around these parts, he's likely to be feed to the gators... LOL

Your thoughts? Any real effect to the economy, etc from this?

85 billion out of 4 trillion is 2.125 %, or, to put it in terms a stoopid guy like me can understand, 2.125% of my take home pay every week is just under what I need to buy a 50 round box of .40 winchester white box at wally werld (when they have it) Of course, I would be in big trouble if I decided to short my payment to my mortgage by that much every month so I could keep buying that 50 round box of ammo. One would think that I would find something else to cut in my budget if it's that important. Now that I think about it, Frakkin' sequestration has already hit the QRPrat's house cuz I got a pay decrease of about 2.125% when they hiked the payroll tax at the BEGINNING OF THE YEAR. I'm still buying my ammo when I need to, and I'm still paying my mortgage on time, so I must have found something else in my budget to cut. Hmmmm.....

Grprat77, I dont know how you do it! You must be one of those 1%ers with mountains of money. Bragging about your wild expenditures, like winchester white box ammo. :p Next thing you know your gonna be bragging about all the "Crystal" light that you are drinking. I wish I could have it all together like you. :)

I was planning on being there, but I tore up my knee snowboarding. Cracked patella and partial tear of MCL. MRI scheduled for Saturday to find out how bad the tear is. My motto has always been .... Old enough to know better, Young enough to do it again! I know a couple of folks headed there. 2 members of my group actually live in Gastonia so were planning to attend. I will send them to the booth.

What was interesting was the incredible amount of painkillers they gave me. I have taken ibuprofen every 4 hours or so, and have been fine, but they loaded me up with hydrocodone-Apap (60 Count) and 1 refill. Of course for a 10 dollar copay, I will probably fill that pain med script...just in case.... :)
