But but its all about the other demographic ....Indians what Indians....
People I think need a history check before crying past "wrong doings " as their excuses for why /what they are. These people have been shafted since day one....
Hey Petunia...you dropped your man pad!

Many reservations are like this and it has been going on for a long time now. It is a messed up history dealing with mass slaughter and broken "treaties". How soon people forget or ignore our past.
It is amazing though that many Indian cultures are "self defeating". You are looked down on, in the Indian mind if you are suc
cessful and try to get ahead you're trying to be white. An apple, red on the outside, white on the inside. You shouldn't do for yourself but have it given to you. It lends to an entitlement mentallity.
A desire changes nothing, a decision changes some thing's, but determination changes everything.

Wow, thank you for sharing the link. I grew up in The Dalles, OR area where the Wasco and Wishram tribes live. Many of the houses shown in the Wind River photo journal remind me of the houses of the indians where I grew up. They were very small and generally had multiple generations living under one roof. When in lower elementary school I can remember being friends with some of the kids, but then when I got older how those friendships drifted apart and how angry many of them became towards everything. Truly sad.

The indians in the area still fish the Columbia River with nets and sell the fish out of the back of their trucks. On occasion my dad buy a fish from them, although I refuse to eat any fish out of the Columbia due to pollution from Hanford up river.

I apologize, I am beginning to ramble. This just reminded me of the area I grew up in.
