Police are investigating a deadly home invasion where a father was shot during a struggle with intruders. The invasion happened Tuesday night on 43rd Street and Northwest 16th Avenue. Investigators said two subjects broke into the home and tried to get into the room of an 11-year-old girl and the victim struggled to keep the subjects away when he was shot.
While he was brave and I applaud his effort to protect his family, this is a prime case of why force must be dealt with overwhelming, superior force. Tyranny isn't just the so called "oppressive government," it includes:

When protecting one's family or loved ones, use the best tools available to include weapon mounted lighting if possible. If they present a threat, meet the threat, negate the threat, protect those you hold dearest. And have a back up weapon to your primary because chances are, the cops will take your primary arm in during the investigation. You'll eventually get it back, but while the investigation is ongoing, do not be defenseless.

How many more articles about home invasions gone bad are we going to have to read about before politicians wise up and understand bad people will do bad things and the cops cannot be stationed at your doorstep 24 hours a day? Chances are, the weapon used in that crime was already illegal or the people using it couldn't have gotten them to begin with. How many more innocent lives will be lost before idiot liberals understand gun control does not work and bad people will get guns no matter what?

Somebody on another board made the comment about the dad, "Napolitano would probably ask, 'Where were his scissors?'" If it were not such a sad tragedy, I'd have to laugh at that. Only a desperate father would attempt to tackle 2 armed "gibsmedats" with no weapon. So sad.
