    DUAL SURVIVAL

    There's a new series starting this Saturday called, "Dual Survival". If you have Direct TV it is on channel 278 (Discovery). It features Cody Lundin and Joseph Teti in real survival situations. The first one has them in a desert. Can't remember the name of the desert but the episode is called, "Mars on Earth".

    Cody Lundin is the author of some survival books including one I'm just finishing called, "What to do When all Hell Breaks Loose". It's an excellent read, I've learned a lot from it and have acted on some of his suggestions.
    Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. We didn't pass it to our children in the bloodstream.     I believe this is season 3 or 4. Go watch some of the earlier stuff.

    Cody is damn good. The new guy Joe is good too, you can see him grow as the episodes go on.


    Of all of the TV survival people, I like Cody the most. He is blunt and he knows his stuff.

      Yeah, been on awhile, but one of my favorites (TV doesn't give one much to choose from anyways)... Joe is a bad-a$$, no two ways about it. You see life-long warrior in everything he does. Loved the combat awareness he has when he killed that pig with his knife. Serious dude!

      But he is more like a sane Bear Grylls where Cody is the slow, steady naturalist... I still think he is nuts to be barefoot in some of the places they have filmed in...

          never cared for dave ,,,codys good...new guy is a mix between bear and dave whic i think is more for tv purposes...

            I see everybody here is a Cody fanboy but I don't like his no shoes or pants philosophy.

            He's great on the things he teaches and I like him but the hippie "in touch with the earth" stuff is stupid. Heck even the indians wore moccasins. In the previous seasons he was always slowing the team down because he would not wear shoes and would have to either stop and make shoes and leggings or repair damage to his feet/legs. For a survival teacher thats irresponsible. Now we'll be hearing about all kinds of idiots trying to emulate Cody and there'll be a bunch of hippies runnin around with missing toes due to frostbite. ;)

            Of these survival shows I prefer Les Stroud's Survivorman. Les is by himself in the wilderness, he doesn't have a film crew standing around filming him.

              I thought Dave was ok on the previous seasons.

              Cody and Joe are pretty good as a team. Its a good mix of Joe's kind of balls out approach vs. Cody's slow and steady attitude.

              I also get tired of the barefoot Cody thing.

                You are right about Les, he is the only one to go solo.


                And I always wonder with the other guys if they get a snickers bar or a bottled water from a cameraman every so often

                  Wish I'd caught these guys a couple of years ago. Looking forward to watching Saturday.

                    Cody Lundin is a great guy and he is the real deal. This seasons Joe Teti is a replacement for the previous partener. Dave it seems turned out to be a fake or something, Cody wrote on his blog that Dave misrepresented himself and he thought it better if they split ways.
                    I like cody's saying of "The More you Know The Less you Need" So True..

                    Check out his youtube channel he has a lot of info on there.....

                      Guess I always liked Survivor Man better the Dual Survival but hey Aint seen Less on TV in awhile/
