Guess i was wrong about being a keyboard commando and joystick ninja on the boards and to think all these years i've wasted exercising, doing combatives, shooting and learning skills when i coulda just been a lard behinded 1/3 fat body weighted gamer who blowed someone up 1/2 a world away without even having to think for myself cause the 3 letters do that for ya to!

A buddy of mine was in Afghanistan for 18 months...ended up getting a bronze stars while there. His wife kicked him to the curb while there and privately he told me he truly had a deathwish so he took his combat medic skills and went above and beyond a little more that most would have. He truly didnt care anymore. But I was talking to some guys in his unit, and they held him up like a folk hero and his total disregard for self motivated the crap out of anybody who watched him. While his motivation was wrong, that is what a bronze star is for. Gallantry, courage under fire...not sitting around eating doritos and dropping hellfire missiles on insurgents from hundreds of miles away. Disgraceful. This is the same thing wrong with America today. Every kid gets a trophy. I got in the Marine Corps in dec 1991 AFTER the first Iraq war was over...but for 3 more years they handed out the National Defense Medal...WHY????? making that medal above the Bronze star is a discredit to all the people that received a bronze star.
