i was just reading over the list and had to read it several times but in it i found somthing different. no where on the list was the SKS?????? it has all the same feature as the ar/ak's and does as much damage. maybe i missed it.

If I can so kindly point out what seems to be overlooked in this… We already have a gun ban in place! This is just an additional type of gun ban. I'm so sick of hearing that "they can't take away my 2nd amendment rights?" or "My God given rights!"
They already have taken away some of our "rights". Big deal. Anybody who pays attention would know this further gun ban was just an inevitability.
They've already taken away your "right" to own a full auto firearm. Why haven't people been "up in arms" (Pun intentional) about that? And what about "criminals" or convicted persons… What about their "God given right"??? Or do some people lose their "rights"?
If they can dictate who can and can't own a gun, then they can sure as heck say how much and/or none at all.
This is isn't a free country. The 2nd amend was violated long ago.

I have a .pdf copy of the 2013 AWB, and believe it or not, the SKS with 10 round fixed magazine is specifically mentioned in the EXEMPT list, despite some of its features. My guess is that if the ban does pass, prices on them will go up as they will be some of the best semi-auto rifles available. The entry was found on page 24 of the bill.
