i have close associate who was in sudan as they started up their new country.
the muslim attack and brutality is confirmed.
i asked associate if these africans were really Christians?
i got some stories. bottom line.
assoc. said, rr, i've heard prayers better than yours. Yes. really Christians.

i asked assoc. what i could do to help them. he said they needed hoes.
they were scratching in the dirt with sticks to grow a crop. the shtf over there.

Ill pass , its everyone's right to go help others , but like our Armed forces , they would be better helping here . Go to Detroit or Chicago and maybe I'd be more compassionate . They are wonderful people doing an awesome job , but I prefer having my money helping useless people in the States . Everyone finds religion when it goes bad , there are no atheist's in foxholes .

to clear up any confusion i started.
the sudanese folks didn't find their religion in the foxholes.
they had it before the fighting started.
it was the reason the muslims attacked.
because the north sudanese and all the surrounding folks were muslims, and muslims hate christians, they started killing the south sudanese. men, women, and children. why? because most of the so. sudanese were christians and had been for a long long time.
the south sudanese religion of christianity was a small "island" in the midst of
a sea of muslims.

It's a PERSONAL CHOICE and no one is asking or making anyone do crap here.

Maybe I can't read worth a damn, but "go ye into all the world and preach the Gospel to every creature" (Mark 16:15) to me anyways, means further than the homeless in a city a couple hours away (we do that also BTW). although they need to be reached ALSO.

Let's keep in mind that sometimes the Holy Spirit leads people in DIFFERENT DIRECTIONS. One may be led to teach kids a couple blocks away, one might be led to feed the homeless a couple cities away, another might be led to go half way across the world, risking life and limb.

It's not always where WE want to go and what WE want to do.
