  • There is going to be more news coming.

I stumbled across this, because you can bet it won't make the evening news. The mayor of a town near Fukushima went to a hospital in Tokyo and asked for a blood test to determine whether or not he had been radiated. The hospital refused to perform the test. He said that his hair is falling out and he's getting a nose bleed every day.

Is there a lesson here about how well governments keep their citizens informed?

No way man! I just know if I sit and watch TV when the time comes instead of actually getting into action, the gubmint will let me know it's time to act!!!

    Sarcasm included....

A lot of folks SAT and watched the news on 9/11 when really NO ONE KNEW what was coming next and early on, several things were reported and shown on TV like the fire set at the State Dept, the EOD crews going into a NY city school because of a bomb in there and other things that were never reported on. Heck it could have been a proxy attack by a foreign nation that was the start of a larger attack, NO ONE KNEW.

Had things progressed, it might have been past time or much harder to actually get out.

Sometimes you have get into action. If you wait for "more data" sometimes it will be too late to act.

Like I said this weekend during one of my talks at the Prep Expo- sometimes you aren't going to have all the "data" and "research" but you will have enough to ACT.

How many of us put off purchases of things relating to guns, ammo, mags, etc. over the last year that we are regretting now? My hand is up too now... :(

Anyone that is NOT preparing for the sewer slide that is creeping in is insane. There are so many signs of at the very least an economic collapse a person would have to be completely blind to not see it. One elderly woman "working" at one of our major retailors actually told me she believed in the strength of this country to take care of us! She should have been out enjoying her retirement. Glad to see things were working out for her. So pathetic and sad.

Well now they have admitted that the radiation in the water WILL reach the American coast and that if exposed at the plant you will die in 4 hours. this is what the news says so I wonder how bad it really is

I've heard of genetic mutations in plants happening in Wash. state as we speak. If it's causing mutations in plants, makes you wonder what's happening with people, don't it? I have no way to verify that, so take it for what it's worth.

Been taking Rad-X for 2 years now, and a few Stimpacks.

Lacking that, you can always move to Necropolis. The ghouls are welcoming people.

To be honest you can't really blame yourself or others for doing so. I myself have been putting money towards much more than my BOB. There just isn't enough time in life when one has bills, hobbies, a job, etc. I suppose one could say that there is no excuse, but to be honest a lot of things are higher up on my list of priorities other than my BOB.

Yeah, I have a lot of things that are important and although my BOB may not be one of them, things like more nvg's some thermal gear, more food, more ammo, more medical supplies, a couple DBAL's ALL rate pretty darn high on MY list of priorities.. Just sayin being prepared can be a hobby, a exercise in list making or a way of life.. Im probably considered extreme though..
