Universal background checks...kinda figured that one was coming.
Leaving the assault weapon ban and mag limits to Congress. Okay, we'll see how that one rolls.
He just invoked Reagan...I just about threw up in my mouth. It's like the devil quoting Christ.
Keeps going back to the kids. Straight up Richard move. "For the children..."
He just said gun violence is denying other Amendments in the Bill of Rights. Apparently the 2nd Amendment is prohibiting others from peacefully gathering and having religious freedom.
And again with the Goebbels move having the kids watch as he signs the Exec Orders.
I about puked.
Can't believe what we are witnessing.

Folks, in case you haven't done so, get a pen, paper and write your Congress folks and Senators about your opposition to any new form of ban or restrictions. Even if they aren't pro-gun and the most evil gun grabbers on the planet, let them know their constituency is not behind them on this. For the cost of three stamps, let your voice be heard. While yes, you can email them, writing a letter is a lot more personal. But no matter what, contact our government and let them know you are not behind this. Even if it means writing to the Lesser Satan Feinstein and telling her she's a fool and request she withdraw her legislation, it only costs a stamp to do so.
Then contact your State Legislators and Governor. Tell them the same thing. Do NOT let what just happened in New York happen anywhere else! Make your voice heard. Get your friends to have their voices heard. Here's the contact info:
Had a friend that works at a gun distributor say to me recently "people think nothing of sitting on hold 45 minutes to order 3 more boxes of bullets. But they won't spend 3 minutes to call their congressman."
I've been guilty of this as well..... Gotta fix that.
Boris- "He's famous, has picture on three dollar bill!"
Rocky- "Wow! I've never even seen a three dollar bill!"
the thing about calling to voice your opinion is that you dont always talk to them but there help. and even then the reps will vote to whats in there best interest to stay alive in the big game not what you want. the system has never got better over the years but worse. as long as the give me give me people try to change things to make things better in ther little world the hard working people out here are scr***d. look at the last election, there was alot of red on the map but the little pockets of blue took it. the same goes with policy change, the pockets of blue want the rest to do what they want not what needs to be done right for everyone.
the reps will vote to whats in there best interest to stay alive in the big game not what you want.
However, a lot of politicians have a long memory. And some remember what happened to a lot of Congress in 94. The more people that contact their representatives, the better. It shows a solid block of potential voters that can (and maybe will) say "You screwed us on this AWB, it's time for you to come home Jack."
Sad fact is, two years is a long time and the majority of the American public will have forgotten by then. But I can hope. And again, it doesn't hurt.

Are these executive "orders" or executive "actions"? Is there a difference?
Kinda different, sorta not.
Executive Orders are in place as "orders" and are supposed to have the force of law. Sometimes they are minor, like directing the federal government that 24 Dec was to be a no work day for them. Others are more serious like ordering sanctions against a foreign nation or the Import Ban of 1989.
Covered under the same "Presidential Actions" as Executive Orders are. Difference is? Looks to be memorandums only are applicable to the certain departments they are directed at, i.e DHS, FBI, CDC, etc. Orders can be directed at everyone.
Not sure since Executive Orders have never been challenged in a court of law. Not sure if these can be challenged either since they aren't directed at the populace, but rather selected departments of the Executive Branch.

The democrats are such transparent hypocrites. If they are really serious about their repeated assertions about saving kids, they would not sanction mothers killing their own children in the womb.
Ban Planned Parenthood, not guns.

40 years and 56 million killed so far. That kind of killing is ok though for Dems.
Now about that speech, he forgot the one thing that could of saved the kids. To have the teacher/principal/office staff/janitor have a concealed weapon. The only way I can think of that would of helped out in that situation. More so then what he had suggested
I heard him say we should be thinking about common sense, I guess he should listen to what he says better.
