I want to appoligize to the LEO's and military here on this board. I was not pointing to this letter written by Matt Bracken to disparage anyone. I know most LEO's and military will uphold the Constitution when/if needed and I'm pretty sure all those on this forum would do what is right if it comes down to it. I hope none of us have to make that decision.

Their is a HUGE underground movement of Patriots in law enforcement and the military. The establishment fears them- and they should.

Without compliance from the LEO/.mil community the establishment cannot disarm anyone. Some will comply, but not all. Some are already in place and will $@#$ things up from the inside if/when the time comes.

Killing of children is wrong whether it's 17 kids in a church in Waco, kids in a day care at the Murrah building or kids in an elementary school in CT. Or whether they are still in the womb. They ALL matter and it's murder in ALL cases.

My comments are in no way directed towards you and yes I got bent because i'm getting it from alot of sides even from those who forget i'm the one that taught them what they know.
          Insofar as the author
In most disarmament's of the public a cross section of Law Enforcement, Regular Military and "SPECIAL" units are used. So the very author who is supposedly "special" would be considered a direct threat because he will either participate, will train or has trained those that would do these things. All you have to do is look at history.
In every single unit, organization or group I have been in the opinions of this varies from one end of the spectrum to the other. You can not lump anyone into one category on any side. If/when one discusses these things be reasonable and do not start hating, laying blame or pointing out anyone or you will do more harm and be thought very little of and possibly do more damage than closing your mouth (or shutting off your keyboard). Those that can get preachy like MB will be the ones standing alone when he needs someone the most.
I'm supposed to believe the "special" ones, that write FICTION anyway? Show me the real cause i dont think its there and who is he to write an essay directed at ANYONE? fear that one because he's all that and a bag of tater chips

Are you saying the scenario he postulates is not credible or are you just taking issue with who will disarm us civilians?

I take issue to some random guy who thinks he is special and needs to lecture when he is not out there everyday doing what needs to be done. I wonder if during his so called seal days he needed a fiction writer to lecture him on duty?

Ok now having written this about how special people are the ones to watch I AM COMPLETELY WRONG. Yep did it on purpose!
It's soooo easy to write anything on put it up and not be responsible for anything. It was real easy for me to divert the attention to specops. I'm not nor ever was Military sepcops but served on 2 civilians teams so using my own argument I would be included LOL.
Those who drive wedges before there is even a problem are TROUBLEMAKERS. The whole reason they were successful the first go round was because of wedges and many gave up cause all us black rifle owners was eeevvvilll. Hogwash, people are people they are good, bad and ugly.
We dont even know what we are looking at yet, we are all guessing and many are saying stupid/doing things. Slow the roll and keep it real.

We all know- or should know- that true American LEO's and .mil types will NOT obey any order to disarm the populace.

And the few that do will after the fact be hung/shot as traitors. Smart folks know this, and these are AMERICANS not blindly obedient germans, therefore the "just following orders" thing will not work in the future as it did not work at Nuremberg.

Their will be very few traitors and the insiders will see to that. Johnny Turncoat LEO or .mil will be the one that doesn't come back from a routine patrol. It will be blamed on the resistance but it will be LOYAL American LEO's/mil that will do most of the work.

The motto I have heard them all use in regards to this is simply "we will clean our own house."

I read the essay and I must have missed something? I didn't see anything about the essay or the author that got my panties in a wad? What he stated in the article rang true to me. I don't particular care if the author ever won the Congressional Medal of Honor, or got Cop of The Century, or not. What he said rang true. The man is an activist for a just cause of attempting to wake up the people of this country to the dangerous times we live in.

Thomas Paine never won the CMOH neither, nor was he ever a cop. But his writings helped the American cause in the Revolutionary War more than a battalion of hardcore troops against the British (he was born in Britain.) He was an activist, not a soldier. A universal truth is that the pen is mightier than the sword.

What is so upsetting about this essay is beyond me. I wish there were about 10k more just like him, writing furiously every day, spreading their work out to every media possible, raising a hue and a cry to the American people to wake up.

The PTB ignore the underlined and think that they don't matter...wheres the outrage of the thousands of unborn that die every year. There should be equal outrage over them as well and there isn't.

"The insiders" were also a part of his novel. In the novel a person on the inside, data-mine's a spreadsheet with the home addresses of all Federal law enforcement agents and ultimately the traitors are executed. Sometimes with old, old world war I vintage firearms, just belabor the point that banning semiautomatic weapons and scopes, as were later banned in the book, really wont save the perpetrators of the gun grab. I think MB wrote that piece to forewarn the people that would attempt to disarm the masses because of a misguided sense of duty. I dont think it was a ding against the majority of LEO or .mil types that would refuse to do that job. I think he wrote it knowing that Matt and people holding positions like Matt know their heart and wouldnt do such a thing. Just my take on it. I am a former Marine, and I would be gone in a flash if that were my orders, and I truly dont know many people that I served with that would follow those orders. But there were some that were just DA's that would.

I hope this thread stays near the top. I have to believe there are at least some liberal loons that stick their noses into forums like this one. They need to read this. The north embarasses me with the old fashion....my daddy voted straight ticket because he was blah, blah, blah. However......I hunt and target practice so don't you dare take my gun. I wish the north would learn to read and comprehend.

I read the essay and I can't see why you are so up in arms about it.

What we are about to experience in this country could be on a scale with the civil war.

Why you took offense is lost on me.

Matthew Bracken hit the nail on the head.

I'll have to side with Matt on this one. Let's get real. The LEOs (and FLEOs) in general are everyday folks with a job to do. They are a cross-section of our culture. They are the ones we call when we're in trouble, curse about when we get traffic tickets (c'mon, be honest LOL), and I, personally refuse to villify them as a whole. There are good ones, marginal ones and crappy ones.

If you think that the assault weapon ban or more pervasive background checks are going to lead to a civil war, think again. Think the previous AWB and Brady bill. There was a lot of talk and threats but nothing real happened. I'm not, by any streach, in favor of the current legislation being considered. Don't blast me about that. I've been around long enough that, although I'm as mad as anyone about the current situation, I'm a realist when it comes to what will or won't happen.
