What's that? Is that justice I hear? Prayers for the family that this traumatic experience doesn't affect them long term.

Just a darned shame she didn't have one more round...

This is a prime example of when the hood and the country are on the same highway. The hood tries their luck in the country and usually fails.

But what are the Atlanta liberals saying now? Well if she wouldnt have shot him she could have scared him off by yelling NO! GET AWAY! I AM WARNING YOU! LEAVE ME ALONE (80's women self defense training my mom used to tell me about.)

Self reliance in its purest form. Bet she has a .45 next time.

5 shots to the neck and face and he still drives...that baffles me.

Take up a collection and buy that family a high capacity 9mm and train them in the Mozambique Drill.

But hey, firearms are DANGEROUS! Can't have that EVIL weapon near a family! How socially uncouth!

My wife and I said this earlier. She will get drilled in a civil suit by his family.
I know of someone whose Grandads neighbor was sued by a criminal. He was breaking into their house and slipped on a stack of magazines, fell into the window and cut his arm up. And won the case. Put an already elderly person that was a on fixed income into a homeless situation.

Things don't often go according to plan in a gunfight, and the results sometimes do baffle.
I personally knew a guy who was shot in the face by friendly fire - hit by a .50 caliber machine gun round from one of our own tanks during an operation. Think about that for a moment. He was still alive when they loaded him on the chopper. I don't know if he made it.

Did the poor criminal have a gun?? Did she even try to talk to him first, maybe ask him if he had a bad childhood? Maybe he was just lost, and stopped to ask for directions! Maybe he had to use the restroom...

Oh wait... I just remembered - I'm not a wack-a-doodle liberal. Ok, never mind.

According to FBI studies 80% of pistol wounds are surviable... shot placement, shot placement, shot placement... The static range and dynamic range are two completely different animals. And as J cooper stresses use a long gun when able...
in every class I have taken/helped train in one mantra is repeated in all..."shoot and keep shooting till the either "stop" doing whatever unplesantaries the were up to, or they go down.

Yep, for our use of force, we are taught to render the target incapable of continuing the act which caused you to fire in the first place.
