I ordered a rifle from them last week. Took ten busy signals to finally get through. After I made my order the salesman asked if I had contacted my FFL. I advised yes, why? He said they will usually make a call to them to tell them of the order, but when he hangs up the phone, it will ring again, so it will be hard for him to get a line to dial out.

I wonder how far the "don't call back 7.8 seconds after you ordered asking why your stuff has not arrived yet" part will go for them.

People that wait this long typically are some of the most impatient types.. and usually pretty damn rude. They hemmed and hawed and waited around, but now it's YOUR problem to make up for their lack of planning.

Honestly, the only real important thing if your ordering now folks is to GET THE ORDERS IN. Then man up and be patient. You waited this damn long to do it, what's another couple days or a week or so?

I made an order with them 14 Days Ago.. They haven't processed it yet! Nor contacted me, unless you count that same email and all their sales emails "that come out daily" for phone ordering..with the same things I ordered.. Money Says they sell my order to the highest phone order.

CDNN is a good company and have been around for a good long while, I doubt they will do that.

Unfortunately waiting is the nature of the beast right now. Keep in mind their was also just a Christmas holiday and these rushes do usually take a couple days to get organized from.

Unfortunately, most people do "expect the worst" and then tend to go overboard. Not saying you did but speaking in general terms.

Always wise to do the "could you help me understand" approach versus the combative arsehole approach aka "straight for the jugulars" approach most people do now a days. I can't tell you how many people have tried to pull that card on me when THEIR card was declined, but noooo, they KNEW it went through (without checking they KNEW that). Then they are sitting with egg on their face after acting like a jerk about something that was their fault not ours. Always good to make 110% sure of your facts- in other words, actually check them don't ASSume- before slinging mud.

A guy freaked on me earlier this year about a 2nd gen PVS14 he THOUGHT he bought from us- the PROBLEM IS WE DON'T SELL 2ND GEN PVS14'S. Yet without spending 2.3 seconds to check, he went into total freakout mode and made himself quite the jerk trying to slander me. Then never responded to 3 emails I sent him and 2 calls I made to him to clarify to him what was obvious had he 1. Looked at his invoice, 2. Followed the link he originally used 3. ASKED

Slow down, think before you rush in and don't go right for the jugulars, I know this is a foreign concept to some people, but it might be your mistake not the other parties...... Also, remember that some of these places don't HAVE to deal with you, so be careful of burning bridges. None of these places are Walmart, they don't have to take your crap, they can refuse to do business with you. Just making another sale AT THIS JUNCTURE IN THE GAME, is no incentive to deal with an unruly, rude customer.

I walked away from (refused) a $15K sale not that long ago. Why? Cause after giving the guy an awesome quote and being crystal clear on everything, he went in and tried to modify the terms of the deal- TWICE. Sorry I don't need that type of BS, especially after discounting the deal as much as I did. You know what, the Lord sent me 3 more deals just like it in the next days after that.

Sometimes you can kinda "smell" trouble and it's usually best to avoid it. Someone modifying a deal/quote after it's been agreed on is one of those things you run from.

Seeing alot of this right now. I'm not talking about this company but others because I never even heard of these folks. I know there is a rush but when you place an order and then hear nothing for days or get an order conformation what are ya supposed to do? Hope that your money bought what ya ordered while waiting and everything else is getting sucked up by folks? Didnt know my business was a bother to these companies. One company stopped taking order under a certain amount but failed to tell folks this right away so some small orders were dumped, is this right? So my $40 isnt as important as an $80 order because a politician set in a panic and you decided that your business didnt have to time to mess with me cause i'm a little man now with not as much money as the next guy!?! In your neck sideways
One company claimed to be out and cancelled the order but then the following day had the same items at 10X the price!?! These things will not be forgotten and they are no better than the politicians who started this stuff.
Folks are gonna panic and companies are gonna seize up to an extent but there is alot of shady stuff going on therefore the calls because i ordered some stuff before the madness and got dropped on my head so suck it up business owners its my money and your gonna get a call IF i dont hear from you and thats before the rush, during the rush and after the rush, you communicate or expect a call

I would definitely stick with ESTABLISHED, been around for a while, TRUE LONG TERM COMPANIES right now. JoeBob's internet gun shop may have the cheapest listed price for some crap, but probably does not even have the item nor access to it. We see that sort of thing all the time in the preparedness industry.

Places I have used in the gun/ammo industry that have always delivered for me are: CDNN, Aim Surplus, K-var, Ammoman.com , at least those are the top four I can think of immediately that we have done business with LATELY that have ALL delivered what was ordered in a timely fashion.

Matt- no it's not right for smaller orders to get passed over, ALL orders should be shipped in the order they are received, at least that's how we do business. Shady practices ARE remembered and with the advent of the internet ALL is usually out there in the open for folks to see. The problem with that is that the 99 customers that are happy will rarely say a thing, but the 1 that isn't, well often times he's got a lot to say.

What I've been telling my circle of friends is that what's important at this juncture is to get the orders in, then be patient. As long as you got a confirmation and your card was charged, you are 99% of the time good to go.

I've experienced a couple dozen or more crazy "rush" periods over the years in business, everyone likes to think they are super great times for people in business. They aren't, they suck and I would have traded a 2 year Y2K rush for 6 years of consistency and not craziness. In the end, when all is said and done, you rarely "make a ton of cash" during rushes either. Often times you get "caught" in between changing prices from wholesalers and importers and retail prices that are hard to raise, then your called names like "profiteer" from the socialists claiming to be Patriots when you are forced to raise prices due to wholesalers and importers raising the prices you pay. The retailer/dealer ends up between a rock and a hard place.

I agree with all your saying, I have never contacted anyone within 7 days about an order before, The 14 days without word bothers me abit... Wondering if I'm going to kick myself for not double ordering with another Co before it was too late(too late now ..lol). I'll be alright ethier way but, what Mat said.. is what has happened to me before also.

Well the good news is that if you look at Drudge and some other news sites, it looks like the republicans got punked on this fiscal cliff deal. To save face/further embarrassment they might stand up to the gun bill pending now.

Glad to hear it, they are a reputable company.

It's very easy to get beau coup busy in this industry when things like this come up.

We all THINK we have everything we need- till we see that it may no longer be available....... Hey that's ME too!!!

The important for us as survivalists is not to be caught completely FLAT FOOTED. Getting a "little extra" at this point is one thing, scratching around to to build up to 1,000 rounds for your main rifle at this point is quite another. Anyone who has done any serious training will tell you it's nothing to go through 500 or more in a day.

I bought more ammo cause this is not going to stop me from training. I have set goals for the amount of practice, etc. and I'm gonna stick with them.

Ammoman.com is still shipping, about 10 days but they state that on their site. About every couple days their site shows "closed to catch up on orders" but if you keep checking it comes back up a day or so later and you can order then.
