I listened to alot of talk radio today... Everyone talking about what happened. I'm afraid that traditional America is a thing of the past, it has been replaced by people who want "stuff". They do not want to earn it the old fashioned way, they want to take it from someone else.
I think that is the greatest thing to learn from this election - traditional American values such as honesty, hard work, playing by the rules, helping others is now dead. 2012 was the last chance to revive the American Dream, it's now over.
I see Greece in our future...

No wait, that's Marxism-Leninism. Which last time I checked, appeared to fail. So somehow this was completely missed...or ignored actually. But don't tell the ones benefiting from it that. Don't tell liberals that since you will get labeled as a right wing fanatic that wants to put you back into chains.
What was it Norman Thomas said? "The American people will never knowingly adopt Socialism. But under the name of 'liberalism' they will adopt every fragment of the Socialist program, until one day America will be a Socialist nation, without knowing how it happened."
Too bad a lot of our population doesn't know or more precisely, doesn't care. As long as the welfare checks keep rolling in and the Obamaphones are kept on, life is just grand. And as you said they will continue to vote in those that will bankrupt our nation at the expense of staying in power while attempting to create a classless society by taxing the rich to give to the poor. Redistribution of wealth I think it's called. Yeah, tax the Bourgeoisie (upper) class to make up for government overspending to keep the welfare state alive. And get cheers while doing it. And after cheering go vote once again to keep those in office that continue giving out handouts until we turn into Zimbabwe or Greece. A vicious circle I've painted here.

MustangGal, my thought on that verse is that it speaks of our eternal destination and simply holding tight to our faith.
