We all have heard of AAR (After Action Reports) but I thought it would be prudent to have a Action Report Thread for the 2012 Election. We all have (or should have) been reviewing our preps for a worst case scenario. Hopefully none of us will need our preps due to the elections.
Having good comms with others is an important aspect in preps. You may have contacts in your AO, but I thought it might help to know what is really happening around our great Country on and following Election Day. I thought this would be a good place to post anything that you hear happening that "raises a flag" to you. This not only includes your AO, but what you see or hear from others YOU TRUST. Remember others in your AO may not have heard about a particular incident, so your post may be important to them. Your post may be important to someone here as they may have relatives in your area. Now if you are concerned about OPSEC, just post what you can...we understand.
Remember, nothing may be happening in your AO but you may get a call from your brother in ________ city that tells you things are getting stirred up. In today's world with cell phones, twitter, instagram, facebook, etc., things can travel fast and other cities may start the same nonsense.
Here are a few rules to follow to make it a useful thread.
1. Only post things that are worrisome. DO NOT post "things are going well here in _______" as some may subscribe to this thread to follow potential threats. If everyone just posts A-OK here, it will defeat the purpose of this thread.
2. Only post threats that you have seen or heard from reliable sources. This may include MSM if they are showing videos of "stuff".
3. Try to be as specific as you can so others don't need to ask questions. Of course OPSEC is important here.
Some items to post may include;
1. Intimidation at polling places.
2. Riots or "large gatherings" as the MSM may report.
3. Carjacking, beatings, shootings, looting, bombings/bomb threat, etc.
4. UN forces at polling places. (Although this may not be a threat, it certainly is worrisome to me)
5. Main highways or Interstates being closed for election related purpose not for everyday traffic jams or accidents.
Some things not to post may include;
1. Everything okay here in Littlebigtown.
2. Traffic accident at 1st and Main.
3. People with political signs standing at road near polling booth yelling "vote for _______"
4. Long line at polling precinct. Line wrapped around building and it took me 3 hours to vote.
Sorry for all the "rules" but I want to make this a thread others can trust for facts on threats/emergencies. Let's leave this thread open for questions until 2359hours, Monday November 5th, 2012. Starting at 0001 hours on Tuesday November 6th, 2012 it will be for threats/emergencies only. The thread will be open until we see that all has gone well and then we will lock the thread. Hopefully that will be within 24 hours following the election.
Stay safe and God Bless America
