Are You Prepared For November 7th., 2012?

The days following the elections may prove interesting, so just wanted to post a reminder to tidy things up this weekend.

Some things to pay attention too would be:

Food
Water
Batteries (charged if rechargeable)
Protection/security devices
Fuel
Generators
B.O.B./G.H.B.
First aid
Maps of alternate routes to and from work/home, etc
Clothes washed
Alternate heating source
Alternate cooking source
Family plans if things get sideways

In general, this is a good time to inspect and update your preps. Do I think anything is going to happen? Yes, I think we will see some local rioting/looting/intimidation etc. Do I think it will last long? No, I think if anything happens it will be a short term situation, maybe a week or so. But, don't end up being like some in NY/NJ for that week if it does happen near you.

When I read reports like this, it seems that some want to start riots and such if Romney wins....so be on alert. WARNING---link does contain foul language.

Almost as ready as I can get, got some fuel to purchase and secure, may still yet pick up something to celebrate the 2nd amendment on Nov 6th (probably just make an ammo purchase :D ). Remembering the last election, I was gathered with a group of guys and we were discussing the results. We were disgusted with the choice results, but decided that since the Lord is still God, we'd be ok, just keep getting ready for bad things coming, and we would continue to pray for this elected leader. Other side gots twitter to complain on I guess... Never mind OPSEC or anything. Just get WILD'n OUT!

Regardless of who wins, there will be a lot of butthurt people on the internet and in the media.

A lot of people talk about what they are going to do but they wont do squat. I work near the hood and they are too scared of the police to go all out. All bark and no bite, thats how the hood operates. I would worry more about riots in Atlanta if the Falcons win the super bowl, not zero loosing. Its never wrong to be prepared for ANYTHING, thats what we do.

Wednesday will be business as usual, hopefully we are on the winning team.

I hope I am wrong but at least I will get to watch all of the crap on TV. No one is going to get crazy on my street. Wont happen.

We live in the country, but I commute to work 5 days a week in the ghetto of the murder capitol of Florida. This part of town is where bodies are dumped, cops get shot at. It's open gang warfare on a regular day, let alone Obama's defeat.
I will be driving my 6,000 pound 4X4 pickup instead of my old Buick, and will supplement my two onboard 357 magnums with a 45 Auto and a rifle. At the first news of any disturbance I'm sending everyone home and locking the warehouse. If it gets burned down, I guess I'll just take early retirement.

Like Rice, we live in the boonies but we're preparing for the unexpected. Just added another 40 gallons of fuel to our stock up supply today in case there is some interuption in supply due to unrest in the cities.
