  • Tools carried in BOB etc

What tools do you carry in your BOB? Where did you get them?
I recently lost, or misplaced a small screwdrive & nut driver bit set. It had the normal slotted, phillips, allen, & torx bits. It also had 4 bits that had 2 point sticking up, they looked like a slotted head with points stucking up (sorry I don't know the name). But I used them to remove the oil drain hole on the generator housing on my rv.
I'm looking for a small kit to carry to augment the multi-tool I always have on my belt.
Thanks for all of the good tips I have gleaned from this site.
Survival question. What do I need most, right now?

My BOB always has the following Gerber or SOG multi-tool or both, Allen wrenches that fit my bow, AR accesories and rifle scopes, duct tape, 550 cord, zip tie, small roll of hook and loop, spare pocket knife, skinning knife, folding tree saw, wire saw.

I think ANY BOB is a GREAT thing, and you know more than I do what you think you will need.

But one thing I have never seen in anybody consider: http://beprepared.com/product.asp?pn...cd2=1282342353

Maybe its just me being a wimp, but doing the Rambo thing and cauterizing a wound with gunpowder is not an option. OUCH!! =)

OH, and my BOB has very little. Lightweight for speed. I have 3 buried cache sites, one on my property, one at my parent's (shhh they don't know), one in my older daughter's yard directly behind her garage (perfect hiding spot while digging it up). My parents don't know about theirs, only that I have given them a "life insurance policy" in a sealed envelope for them to put in their safe until I die (who looks at their kid's life insurance policy =) ), daughter knows about hers.

Each cache is a buried plastic 55 gallon drum, not too deep for easy recovery, and contains 2 handguns, 1 rifle (30-30), ammunition, emergency water (survival pouches), emergency surgical kit, 2 10-day supplies of antibiotics, and instructions on how much I love them and some good off road routes to get to our safety retreat.

The downside, by foot my daughter's is almost 3 days away and my father is more than a month unless he manages to drive as far as his fuel supply allows him.

Multi tool, some simple gunsmithing and cleaning tools, lockpicks and usually a small Fiskers axe. Lots of things have multiple uses like the dental picks, hemostats, etc.

We live and work in a rural/very small city environment. If we lived in the city I'd definitely consider other tools as well.
