Boris- "He's famous, has picture on three dollar bill!"

Boris- "Is it my fault you're poor?" -
Ill give it a higher chance than an EMP. The only thing we have to back up our dollar is our countries word that its worth something. i use to think that our government was smart enough to not let this happen to us that is did in Weimar republic. the the idiots on charge of the FED (federal reserve) these days i just don't know.

I don't see it happening as rapidly as it has in Iran, or even as fast as in Greece or Spain (different scenarios, but still serious financial issues). What I DO see is that Washington deficit spending is eroding our financial credibility. I don't see either party (not just presidential, but the congress as well) as having the vision and fortitude to turn the deficit around.
I don't see swift hyperinflation, but more like the frog in the water being slowly heated to fatal temperatures. As our economy weakens, prices go up faster than wages. I see our standard of living being slowly lowered while we will be working longer hours to support our families. I think the big question as far as the U.S. is concerned is, how much longer will we try to borrow our way out of our problems? When will we, as a collective society and government, see that we cannot continue on our current path, the one we've been on for several decades lead, at times, by BOTH Republicans and Democrats.
I'm off my soapbox now LOL"Common sense might be common but it is by no means wide spread." Mark Twain

We could see it except that we still export alot of our stuff and china hasnt cut us off on imports. Much of this has to do with sanctions on an already stretched and shrinking middle class there. Much deeper than anything we have seen.
We could see it but the signs arent there right nowKnowledge is Power, Practiced Knowledge is Strength, Tested Knowledge is Confidence

I hate to be the bearer of good news and positiveness but I have a slight belief in a chance that things get better.
I had my companies financial planner down last week for a meeting one on one with us about our 401K.
His presentation was more or less, that of a salesman but he did make some great points that I not only agree with but have believed for a few months now. One good point that he brought up is that a lot of American companies are sitting on a LOT of cash right now, example Apple could buy freakin GM if they wanted with cash money. Another thing is again, the banks and the financial institutions run this country, not the POTUS. They dont want this machine to fail, they dont want millions of people hanging them in the street. They are going to do what they can to either keep it rolling or make it profitable.
Yeah there is uncertainty in Europe, thats obvious. But the rich uncle Germany is getting sick of supporting the nephews and nieces and there is going to be a major change. Not killing in the street and cannibals or people living off of potatoes but a change that will get things at least in an upward motion.
China is not the monster everyone thinks. They are nothing but an inflatable. We could snap our finger at any moment and they would falter. Its called, quit buying their crap and bring some companies back here. Yeah we owe them, but everyone in the world owes each other. They arent going to come over here Red Dawn style and make it to where you have to piss in your radiator. Sounds good for PAW ficiton, but aint gonna happen.
The middle east is a cluster, we all know that. But a lot of those countries puff their lil brown chests, but they are a mere ant to us.
But as for here at home, we have 3 options.
Obama gets reelected. He takes from the rich, gives to the poor. We see a slow devaulation of the dollar just like today (even if Arnold from different strokes was our president, or Corky from Life Goes On). Companies get sick of sitting on this cash and start to spend here. Hopefully, some incentives are given to companies to bring jobs home and all is good, except for him in office. More racial tensions and partisan hate but is someone really going to come up and punch you in the face because you are a conservative? Hell no. These liberals are weak cowards and remember, we tote the toys. Anywho, the media pits us at one another and soon people are going to say screw it because all of this bickering does nothing. We move on.
Romney gets elected. We go into a recession just for 2013. We come out around the holidays of 2013 and 2014-2016 are going to be great years for our economy rebuilding. We have more oil in North Dakota than in Saudi Arabia. We have enough natural gas under Penn to NY to supply us for 400 years. This is a fact and I believe Romney will help bring this to light. He will have to cut things and it will get tough for a year but it will rebound big time. I think a businessman in the WH is good, even though he is crooked as a snake and is more like Obama than we think.
Or WW3 which leaves the unknown.
I dont look at the negative anymore. No gas masks in the car, no 10 guns at the office to get me home. No. I am living for COLMOLLIN and this self sufficient lifestyle is very interesting to me and will instill good morals in my sons. I enjoy living SMART. I am just a man, a young man, that wants to make it so that my sons can make it so their sons can make it. Nothing more, nothing less. We are all going to make it one way or the other.
