you speaking about the debate...i fell alseep the last 20 mins,,,mostly because they both just kept repeating themselves with obama constantly ignoring the mediator's call for time.

It was a good performance for Romney. He came out aggressive, slinging facts and asking questions that should have been asked during the last four years, but as many talking heads said, was "polite" about it and didn't appear to be the junkyard dog looking for a fight. He appeared "Presidential" as I heard one person say. He still needs to refine his particulars as to what and how he is going to do some of his plans, but overall, I thought he did well and helped restore some faith into the support base. While the president did take up more time, he didn't do that much with it like he could and should have. One thing that did happen that I agreed with, the "moderator" lost complete control of that "debate." There was no moderation that I could tell on either side.

I figured more than a few folks stood up and cheered when he brought up the 10th Amendment during the role of government question. Romney said the right things at the right time to appeal to a broad base of voters.

It's sad when even the most die hard Obama supporter (Chris Matthews) said "WTH just happened?" and says Romney won the debate. I kept switching from Fox to MSNBC to get contrast last night and besides the normal lackey supporters that would cheer even if the President started hacking up babies with a battleaxe on national TV, it was clear cut the majority of commentators thought Romney looked strong and had a better performance.

Watched a couple minutes on a website this a.m. Ob's body language was all wrong, he was using the wrong tone.....

Yeah, I got the impression that Romney was someone I could vote for.
He definately came ready to draw blood.
Will be watching the rest of the debates in an interested manner.

I saw a man totally out of his element last night. Except for when he (Obama) looked directly into the camera and told lies. You could actually see him relax. The man is a total puppet, poster child for the people pulling his strings. He's a pawn, an empty suit and it's a wonder he can tie his shoes in the morning. He's a total buffoon and I hope everyone that voted for him can't stand their own reflection in the mirror this morning. The bad thing is, those that voted for him probly didn't watch the debate.

But seriously, this is why I'm not a big fan of early voting - I think Romney might have changed some people's minds about who they prefer, but if they already early voted, it's to late..

I'm not a Romney fan but he did a very good job of ripping BO a new one. I expect him to do well in the next two debates and from my knowledge of Ryan he will make a fool out of the walking gaffe machine called Biden.

My but tells me the country is already in freefall and even if Romney wins it will only slow down the inevitable but hopefully he can at least buy those of us aware of what's coming more time to prepare. I'm expecting extended recession at the least. The state battles will be very important over the next 4-5 election cycles. We need not only a continuation of republican wins, as in 2010, but they need to be true conservative republican wins if there is to be any substantive change, imho.

there's the automatic obama crowd. they are singing his praises. he's lying to everybody. his followers are bowing down to him and praising his glory..

there's the romney.... i don't really like him, ya know he's rich.. ya know he's not my religion, ya know, he went to hahvad,
ya know his daddy was important, ya know, he's too stuffy, but i guess i'll vote for him maybe if i don't change my mind.
my wife likes obama, so i might.. she says obama will change things.

there's the conservative group that somehow got mesmerized by the hijacker... paul tried to get the republicans to vote for him. he's got his followers constantly sending facebook messages and emails and internet posts all over the internet talking about how evil romney is. paul didn't go for the party nominee and when paul didn't get nominated, his followers (several of them are my friends and relatives!!) are going nuts to tear down romney... telling me that they will either vote for obama to teach the repubs a lesson..... what the h___ is that??? or write in paul... they never send anti obama messages. it's always
anti romney... in some perverted way paul has convinced his followers that obama would be better than romney.... i don't understand. the followers of paul that i know are good people...

then there are a few like me...

i will proudly stand with romney. i make no reservations.. if you and i talk, or you see me talking to someone at church. (or this morning at a christian group that meets early on saturday mornings. i stood tall. after the meeting i passed out romney yard signs.

your choice how you say and act.
we will all bear the consequences and results..

Rock I'm pulling the lever for Romney to get BO out of the White House. BO is not a liberal democrat. He is a socialist who is working to transform this country into something it was never designed to be...a statist run nation and he's got a lot of people fooled into thinking he's gonna dip into his stash (our taxes), put gas in our tanks, pay our mortgages, etc...

Don't lump conservatives in with Ron Paul. It the extreme "we want no government" libertarians who support Paul. The true constitution loving conservatives want minimal government to avoid the chaos of no government. I want the feds back in their constitutional lockbox, confined to their two constitutional duties and I want the states to grow a pair, reclaim their sovereignty and put this country back on the right track socially and economically. Unfortunately the corruption is so wide spread, both at federal and state level I don't see that happening without literal uprising. Guess I'll keep prepping.

the anti obama crowd (me and justified and a bunch of others) just need to speak as positively as we can about
the guy running against obama. i live in an agricultural region and a lot of farmers feel like the democrats get them more
gov't gurantees for their crops.
these same farmers are very much conservative Christian patriotic, gun loving, pro american men. there is also a huge obama base in my area.

as i and others go about trying to help get obama out, we need to speak clearly, respectfully, and there is only detriment to express our reservations about romney. i don't want anyone to hear this next sentence, but i didn't vote for romney in the primaries. my pick didn't win. but now, i've got to get behind the man that is representing the republicans.
can you imagine for a minute if newt gingrich convinced his supporters to all write in newt, and if santorem convinced his supporters to all write in santorem.
that is called a house divided. and you know what happens then.
the obama supporters and speaking clearly... go obama they say with excitement.
the romney supporters (and i did this for a while) give a long explanation of why romney shouldn't get it and then apologize
for saying they will vote for romney..
it will help romney in my opinion, if we speak clearly, with no apology and not tear him down. let the obamanites tear him down.

this clear pro romney speaking as we go about will help achieve our goal of beating obama.

Patriot Lady and I didn't vote for Romney either.

I won't be tearing Romney down but I also won't spend any time giving Romney glowing praise when discussing who to vote for with anyone. I simply tell the person who and what BO is, warn them what will happen if he wins and tell them that though I don't agree with many of Romney's policies he may at least buy us more time to prepare and/or buy us more time to find true conservatives willing to run for congressional seats, both federal and state. At this point I'm not sure we have much more time or that anyone is capable of pulling us back from the brink in time to avoid collapse. I'll continue to act on both premises that there's a chance to survive and that there's a chance we won't.

I'll add that I've been a registered republican all my voting life. The only reason I'm not independant now is that in Oklahoma only dems and repubs can vote in primaries. It's an unjust law that should be changed. I'm as disgusted with the the repubs as the dems. The more time I spend reading history, the more I realize how the vast majority of our politicians have corrupted the best system of government ever devised by man.

Too bad Chuck Baldwin isn't running this time (he ran in 08) or I'd vote for him. Many would tell me I'm throwing my vote away and that we have to do whatever is needed to get BO out of office. My answer would be, "really? I'm supposed to go the way of the corrupt politicians and vote on the premise that the ends justify the means? Really?" It doesn't matter if the candidate has a chance or not. No EDUCATED vote is a wasted vote. You vote your conscience regarding policies and to _ _ _ _ with party loyalty. The dems and repubs have done nothing but screw us every chance they get over the years. I am voting for Romney this time because there is no other candidate, like Baldwin, that more closely mirrors my convictions.
