Just watched the last Space Shuttle leave Kennedy Space Center with tears in my eyes. It's the end of an era. I hope it's not the last vestige of American Greatness.

I think we have been on this path a lot longer...once we stopped honoring God and keeping Him in the forefront we started down the slope.Originally posted by rice paddy daddy View PostIn just 4 short years we have gone from the greatest nation on earth to headed down the slope to just another European-style country.

I know you and yours poured alot into this program. I dont believe for a minute that anything learned or accomplished was in vain. It provided heros for kids and adults alike, it brought the nation together at times, it has been educational as well as inspirational to even those like me who will never see the space or be a part of it. End of an Era, probably, End of What It Has Inspired, NO WAY!Originally posted by monkeybird View PostJust watched the last Space Shuttle leave Kennedy Space Center with tears in my eyes. Our space program is kinda like our trade and status of being the super power of the world,we had it,then lost it. I cant imagine depending on our cold war enemy for future space technology. We sure have went in the wrong direction in several areas of importance. We are on slippery slope and going downhill fast!!!I HAD RATHER HAVE 12 HONEST PEOPLE JUDGING ME,AS TO HAVE 6 CARRYING ME...
