    End of an Era

    Just watched the last Space Shuttle leave Kennedy Space Center with tears in my eyes. It's the end of an era. I hope it's not the last vestige of American Greatness.

    In just 4 short years we have gone from the greatest nation on earth to headed down the slope to just another European-style country.
    If Obama is re-elected we may fall even further than that.

      I think we have been on this path a lot longer...once we stopped honoring God and keeping Him in the forefront we started down the slope.

        I came into this world kicking and screaming while covered in someone elses blood. And have no problem with going out the same way

          I know you and yours poured alot into this program. I dont believe for a minute that anything learned or accomplished was in vain. It provided heros for kids and adults alike, it brought the nation together at times, it has been educational as well as inspirational to even those like me who will never see the space or be a part of it. End of an Era, probably, End of What It Has Inspired, NO WAY!

            Yup...watched it do it's fly-over over Michoud this morning as it makes its way to Houston, then Edwards.

              Indeed.... What does it say about our nation when we now have to rely on the Russians to hitch a ride to the space station!

                Our space program is kinda like our trade and status of being the super power of the world,we had it,then lost it. I cant imagine depending on our cold war enemy for future space technology. We sure have went in the wrong direction in several areas of importance.We are on slippery slope and going downhill fast!!!
