Imagine that! Someone actually standing up for themselves instead of having to rely on the police and letting more people get killed while waiting. Teaching folks to be sheepdogs instead of the lambs to the slaughter? So insane it might just work.
I can see the pacifist liberals crapping out kittens right about...now. Link to the full story.
I mean, if schools want to enforce In Loco Parentis they has best be able to defend children under their care just like a parent would during a home invasion. And if that means repealing the insane school ground weapons laws so teachers can carry CCW, DO IT! I for one would rather have a teacher putting two in the chest and one in the head of some crazed lunatic shooting up a school than hiding in a corner hoping said lunatic goes the other way. You know, judged by 12 rather than watch half your classroom being carried by 72 while parents mourn and grieve over something that could have been avoided.
Good on 'Bama and Tuscaloosa.
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Police have a new method for dealing with armed attackers who get inside school buildings in Tuscaloosa: They're teaching educators and students to fight back.
School systems typically tell workers and students to lock every possible door and hide if an intruder enters a classroom building. But Tuscaloosa schools have started a program with city police in which employees and students are being trained to fight back if necessary.
