This morning a few users reported seeing warnings about the site using certain browsers. Spock jumped on it, scanned OUR site and OUR site is clean of malware.
However, we use Godaddy hosting and evidently share a server with some scumdog POS's site that does have malware. Evidently because the IP was the same, some browsers showed this as a warning when coming to S and P.
I have since ponied up more bucks to Godaddy for a "dedicated IP" but I'm told it will take 24-48 hours for the switch over to take place. I'm told that the "guilty by association" thing will end then.
So let's be clear- NO CONSPIRACY THEORIES!!! the real deal was that some piece of crap site using the same hosted server had malware- NOT SURVIVAL AND PREPAREDNESS. Read that again if your prone to having reading comprehension issues. Survival and Preparedness is clean, some other site on the server we share was not.
No the gubmint is not attacking the site, I'm sure we could get some publicity by stating things like that as others did by jumping on the bandwagon after Rawles site was attacked. I'm not interested in riding anyone's coat tails or creating BS buzz with non sense like this.
It's the internet guys- this sort of thing DOES happen. No jekyl island conspiracy. We got on this as soon as we heard about it though and it will be fixed soon as outlined above.
