Which way will America go?

OK. I'm retired so I read a lot. I watch news and search the Internet, scanning both sides, trying to sift through the noise to detect trends and to make logical assumptions about the direction our country is going. I feel scared.

The left, the so-called "progressives", the socialists/Marxists/Communists have been infiltrating the government, the media, and the public education system for decades. Their goal is to "fundamentally transform" America, to control and redistribute her wealth, to diminish her military strength, to withhold the truth from citizens, to gain power for the few selected at the top of the eventual heap.

Those who claim to be "liberal" are tearing apart the very fabric of our society: our history, our religions, our traditions, our values, our pride in being independent and free thinkers. They are close to their goal. America is a divided nation with 50/50 on almost every major issue. The left seems emboldened by this split. They are no longer concerned about hiding their objectives.

Atheism, homosexuality, racism, anarchy, entitlements, censorship: these concepts are promoted in the main stream media. Christianity, traditional marriage, true racial equality, the rule of law, hard work for honest wages, and truth in media: these concepts are openly mocked and ridiculed.

It feels, to me, as if we are literally standing on the edge of a cliff. The upcoming presidential election seems to be a make-or-break moment in history. Will the left prevail and usher in a century of deprivation, social unrest, and economic hardship? Or, will the conservative right get another chance to lead? Which way do you think America will go?

i find it hard to believe that anyone can get us out of 15 trillion in dept. Any attempt to pay off dept will require cuts in social services (which is about half of all government spending). I would add cuts to media but they have already taken cuts over the past few years. I guess we would have to call it austerity measure to get our country fixed. time has proven that the war on poverty (welfare) failed. Time has proven that social security failed (faster thanks to Washington's mishandling of the money). it is not a matter of if but when social services get cut. Even if Obama becomes king of America you can not keep printing useless money. Even he will start cutting funds to social services, he will blame the 1%. the top 50% pay 97% of the income taxes here. and if you make more then $32k you are part of that 50%. I just love knowing that my tax money is going to a worthy cause.

Anyways, when austerity hits it is safe to assume that there will be riots, be ready i expect the major cities to see them within 2 years. The lazy will not want to have to work.

Yes, both candidates suck in many ways. That's life.

We need to vote AGAINST Obama, and we need to keep that in mind.

Seriously, we need to get this done this year.

We are potentially STAVING OFF the collapse and/or further socialism. Did I say nothing would happen under Romney? NO. But things are almost SURE to happen under Obama, if nothing else more LINKS IN THE CHAINS will be added (you know, "they want to put you in chains").

The question for survivalists needs to be:

WHAT CAN YOU DO WITH (POTENTIALLY) FOUR MORE YEARS TO PREPARE?

this is the whole point. Do something..vote for someone that has a shot at winning....if you don't vote don't gripe when the wheels come off cause you are part of the problem.

This! ill take more: food, water preps, guns, ammo, bigger genny, better BOL plan, better hunker down plan. I would also like my children to be 4 years older and maybe just maybe that means they will have a better chance of surviving SHTF.

I have always been told that when the right is in office, business is good (or the right runs the other office i.e. during the Bill days)

Since I have been an adult, I have noticed that 2000-2007 was good for business. 2007 through the present has been bad for business. (Left-ran congress and barry s.)

My life was very good until 2007. My life now (financially and employment-wise) sucks.


I attribute that to the POS in DC. Is what it is I suppose.


And I agree LD3, all these idiots that say they are going to write in Paul need to be drug tested.

President Obama was invited to address a major gathering of the Menominee Indian Nation last weekend in Wisconsin.........He spoke for almost an hour on his future plans for increasing the United States present standard of living. He referred to his career as President of the United States, how he had signed 'YES' - for every Indian issue that came to his desk for approval.

At the conclusion of his speech, the Tribe presented the President with a plaque inscribed with his new Indian name - Walking Eagle. The proud President then departed in his motorcade, waving to the crowds.

A news reporter later inquired to the group of chiefs of how they come to select the new name given to Obama.

They explained that Walking Eagle is the name given to a bird so full of **** it can no longer fly.
