  • Three Days For Israel To Make A Decision

    http://www.jpost.com/IranianThreat/N...aspx?id=185060

Well, there have been a lot of finger pointing and "If you do this, I'll do that" kind of verbage being thrown about, but it may be coming down to "put up or shut up". Isreal will need to make a decision soon or it may be too late. Iran seems to have fighter planes in the area of the nuclear reactor as one just went down
    http://www.google.com/hostednews/ap/...nteywD9HL78200.
"...Bolton claimed Israel has only three days to strike before Russia "begins the fueling process for the Bushehr reactor this Friday," after which any attack would cause radioactive fallout that could reach as far as the waters of the Persian Gulf.
"It has always been optimal that military force is used before the fuel rods are inserted," Bolton explained. "That's what Israel did in Osirak in 1991, and when they attacked the North Korean reactor built in Syria." Israel bombed the Osirak nuclear reactor in Iraq in 1981, and a Syrian reactor in 2007.

However Bolton didn't see any indication that an Israeli strike was going to happen. "Obviously if Israel were going to do something it wouldn't exactly be advertising it. But time is short."

Bolton said that it would be "a much more dangerous world" if Iran were to gain nuclear capability."

"Iran will achieve something that no other opponent of Israel, no other enemy of the United States in the Middle East really has and that is a functioning nuclear reactor."

Bolton was critical of Russia for aiding Iran in the fueling of the nuclear reactor.

"The Russians are, as they often do, playing both sides against the middle. The idea of being able to stick a thumb in America's eye always figures prominently in Moscow," Bolton concluded.

I don't know what will happen, if anything, but we all have seen Iran gathering support and re-uniting friendships with Russia, China, Venezuela, North Korea and Cuba as well as Middle East Nations. Many of us have also read articles that the "only way to get out of this recession is an all out war".

Again, I don't want to tighten the tin foil hat, but...I will be paying attention. I'm staying close to home this weekend and I will be steping up my alertness over the next week or so, and it will go way up if Israel does initiate a strike of some sort. Of course, if Israel does strike Iran, the U.S. will become a target as we are their ally. But, I wonder what our prez O will do if Israel steps out on their own? Will he support them?

Thanks for the reminder, I spoke with my family and extensions just now. Told'em to stop what they are doing and go fill up ASAP if they hear it on the news first.

I would consider a nuclear detonation (in aggression) anywhere in the world as a key bug out indicator. I think that's a wise stance for folks to take.

If you don't set your "line in the sand" per se NOW, it will lead to waffling, rationalizing, apathy and INACTION later.

I don't think they'll attack, it's more media hype, the Russians own the site til it's operating, if Israel bombs the place and kills a lot of Russian scientists and civilians, they may have a war that they don't want.

A friend posted that his Jerusalem and Israel friends have called him telling him there is "an eerie calm over the land tonight" and "preparations are being conducted"... We shall see if this is just "nerves" for them over there...

I don't know how Israel can let it go much further. I think the middle east countries are watching close to what Israel will do and what the west will do as well. I heard on the radio today that Israel is kind of like the canary in the coal mine...everyone watches it to gauge the "air". Iran has been telling us from the get go...they want to destroy Israel and the US is the bigger prize. Remember, democracies lie, but dictators tell the truth. Keep a close eye on Iran and watch the canary.

I have heard reports that Russia is (or will be) selling the latest anti-aircraft weapons to Iran. If that occurs, and they are installed, it will significantly limit Israeli and US aircraft if a strike occurs. Has anyone seen or heard the same thing?

I did a quick search and located these...still doesn't tell us if they have them yet, but looks like they want the S-300 missle system.
