I was just watching this. Looks like they are about 50K from their goal.

More fiction than fact but would be a good movie to see. I am also waiting on this new Red dawn to come on out.

Movies like these might actually get me back into a theater. I'm waiting on the two new series to start this fall. "Revolution" is one and I can't remember the name of the other. It has to do with patriots on a submarine.

On a side note, does anybody know when the new season of Doomsday Preppers starts?

ahh yes another movie where the mindless soldiers and robot like leo's are bad guys kickin the snot outta them uppity soccer moms tryin to feed their kids and the evil .gov has endless resources and they need my coolio gear and food because my wore out LBE and bucket of rice will make the difference in the way the nation is run. Thank goodness all these non .gov patriots are waiting for just the right moment to seize the opportunity to save the day! (I believe the movie said they were sleeping, interesting, wonder why it had to get sooo bad before they woke, musta been them fat beer bellies, multi pills a day and AC that kept them sleepy and controllable or perhaps the boredom of another tv sport, maybe)
Too bad we cant use them non .gov patriots oh ya know maybe help folks ya know while everyone is "sleeping" - to fill sandbags during floods, haul hay during droughts, rescue folks after hurricanes, stop looters around the tornado stricken areas, fight terrorist (oh I know, if they ever come to my neck of the woods i'll.... yeah you wont/didnt) and maybe even deploy them bubba BAs to the bad parts of the world so the rest can take a vacation with their familes. Guess they are all just too busy with other things to help out, must be training, thats it training

I'm about four chapters in to "One Second After" and now understand how this book encouraged so many to start preparing. It's already triggered a few things I hadn't thought about that I'm taking care of now. Good writing. Can't wait to pick it back up Monday.

I think its an accurate reflection of the changed attitude of this country and certain portions of our population and why our flags are at half mast for people who went to the movies and church and not squat happened for those that died in A-Stan and elsewhere in uniform this week. Tragic yes, worthy NO

I feel like the current attitude of this country is the same as near the end of Vietnam when so many that hated the war took it out on returning soldiers who had their own burdens to bear without their own countrymen coming down on them for something they didn't start. I definitely agree that the soldier who is our first line of defense gets the backpage news. At least you, me and many patriots like us appreciate and love our soldiers and their families who make an incredible sacrifice, even for those who have absolutely no respect for them.
