Wildfires

We got enough to wet the yard and thats it, was evaporated within 1/2hr at 9pm without sunlight. Fires are starting again today, high winds from north tomorrow, stay sharp.

I kept thinking it was moving in here this morning but it passed us and went south. We've got a birch and another tree that have been shedding leaves for a couple of weeks now. Not a good sign.

Yes, everything is good over that way. Still a lot of folks fighting and watching these fires. Were not out of danger yet.

Looks like you might get some relief with some rain today and/or tomorrow.

That's the one in Luther, isn't it Matt? I heard on the news that a black pickup was seen with the driver throwing a flaming newspaper out the window. Guess they haven't caught that person yet.

Two more fires flared up this afternoon. They're saying they were hot spots that they fought yesterday. None of them in my area though.

You mentioned your inlaws possibly being in the path of one of the fires. Everything ok with them?

Looks like most of Glencoe's homes and businesses survived. A lot of city land burned. No details on Drumright yet. We actually got a few 10ths of rain last night. It's been a while!

Matt, and all in danger from fires. If you need a place to hole up for a while you are welcome here. Plenty of room for a few days while you get your stuff together. I'm a way's away in central missouri but if you need it were here for you.

I was there 2 hrs. ago and the fire in town is contained but some part of it went east. A co-worker lost their house in this fire. My inlaws live 8 mi. North of there and we have them loaded and ready to go at a moments notice.
There is a nasty circle of fires in the Hallet, Jennings, maremac, Cleveland, burbank are..and it's just getting worse.

Winds are coming up and still no rain...not good. Stay safe Cimarron. Patriot Lady and I will be thinking about you and those you're trying to help.

Sounds like one fire started by a cigarette and one witness saw someone throw a lighted newpaper out of a pickup. The town of Glencoe about 45 minutes east of us is all but gone. Not much left of it and other towns in danger.
