  • Youger survivalist/ preppers?

Just kind of curious if there are any people on here under 30 that prep or partake in survivalist stuff?
Whats the point of having and not knowing how to use? You dont have a car and not know how to drive it do you? Having the tools for the job is worthless with out the knowledge of how to use it!

Not under 30 anymore- I think Wiseowl is ;) - but I got started at 13, learned some things on my own, went on my first "survival outing" with a group out of Jacksonville when I was 14 by lieing and saying I was 16. I was a bad boy ;) About a year later got hooked up with an excellent mentor who took a bunch of us under his wing.

      I bees 30 years young.

And can beat every single one of yall in a foot race.

Been on the "survivalist" tip since around 2002 when I started reading Behold a Pale Horse and collecting backpacking and camping gear.

Been on the prepping thing since 2009 when I started reading survival blog.

And out of everyone I know, I am the only one that goes to the lengths that I do. Everyone I know that I would consider asking to group up with are either big on guns, or coupon moms, or backpackers or conspiracy nuts. None that want to do it all, even at the elephants pace that I do it at.

My brother is semi serious. Knows what he has to do and is doing it.

Everyone my age seems caught up in material, superficial, televisual, facespacetwitts, etc. I feel bad for the future because of my generation. But dont let me get started on the generation younger than me.
I now know why gerbils eat their young.

I'm 32. Pretty close I guess. I have one buddy I've been friends with since grade school that sees it coming and is acting accordingly. Other than that, it's head in the sand. I ain't beating nobody in a foot race though. I never was that fast!

That's why with age you learn to be crafty and shoot straight. No need to run lol

I've got a couple of folks I work around that are right there on the prepper fringe. They still have a ways to go though.

I just kind of curious to see if there were any people around closer to my age the partakes in this lifestyle. Not that being around people that above 30 is a bad thing learn more knowledge from people who possibly have been there done that

No your weird, deal with it
LOL naw just kidding, there are others out there but we just havent found them yet. It's the double edged sword of being one. You keep quiet so not everyone knows and when you keep quiet not everyone knows. It's hard enough just finding any much less in age catagories but keep your eyes n ears open and the signs will show when they arise.
WO one of these days this old man is gonna meet you and give ya a run for ur money GA peach fuzz :)
