So we got a new tent dropped of by the wonderful guy in the brow truck. Couldn't use if friday night but early saturday morning the Queen said let's go use the tent.
Good time for and unplanned bug out practice. I'm happy to say that in 30 minutes the truck was loaded and we were out of the driveway.
We went to a place that I had been wanting to go for some time, 55 miles from home but it took 2 1/2 hours because the road is so rough. Not our normal BOL.
We didn't use anything other than what was in the truck or in the bug out totes, and everthing worked well. I did forget one down comforter in astuff sack that is a new addition and had'nt got stored witt the rest of the sleeping gear.
Also i need to re-load the kitchen box with some sundry items like a hot pad, paper towels, & spices.
I cooked dinner from a 3 day food stash bucket and breakfast was instant oatmeal, and fresh blueberries ( we grabbed the berries from the fridge on the way out).
Everything worked well for this limited scenario. But I do see the need to add some stuff to the totes, such as extra batteries and to change out the hiking pants I keep stored in the truck.
Other than the rough bouncy road a good time was had.
